1. Introduction

The Starlink Gen 3 Wi-Fi Router provides an enhanced Wi-Fi experience with the latest Wi-Fi 6 technology and three separate bands for data transmission. This router is designed to deliver fast speeds, support multiple devices, and ensure uninterrupted streaming, gaming, and browsing. It offers a coverage area of approximately 2000 square feet (185 square meters) per router, though actual range may vary based on home construction, layout, and placement.

This router is compatible with Gen 2, Gen 3, Gen4 4X V4, and Mini Kit Satellite systems. It is not compatible with third-party mesh systems.

4.2 Wired Connections

For optimal performance, a wired connection is recommended for your router. The Gen 3 Router includes two Ethernet LAN ports. If connecting to your Starlink Mini Kit, use a Standard Starlink Cable. A wired connection to a Gen 2 router requires the Starlink Ethernet Adapter (sold separately).

4.3 Mesh Network Configuration

You can expand your Wi-Fi coverage by adding up to three Gen 3 Mesh Routers to your Starlink system. The Gen 3 Mesh Router supports both wireless and wired mesh configurations. Wireless setup offers simplicity, while wired mesh provides the best performance.
