3.2 Assembling the Pole Pruner
- Ensure the electric pruning shears are powered off and the battery is removed.
- Align the base of the pruning shears with the connector on the telescopic pole.
- Securely attach the shears to the pole using the provided locking mechanism.
- Adjust the pole length by releasing the quick-release clamps, extending the pole to the desired length (from 4.9ft to 9ft), and then securely re-engaging the clamps.
- Attach the shoulder strap to the designated points on the pole for comfortable operation and weight distribution.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Handheld Mode
For lower branches and shrubs, use the pruning shears in handheld mode. Insert a charged battery, activate the safety switch, and press the trigger to operate the blades. The 1.6-inch cutting capacity allows for efficient trimming of various branch sizes.
4.2 Pole Mode
For high branches, attach the shears to the telescopic pole. Extend the pole to reach branches up to 9 feet. The 180° rotating head provides flexibility for precise cuts from the ground. Use the shoulder strap to reduce fatigue during extended use.

4.3 Cutting Capacity and Blade Performance
The shears are designed to cut branches up to 1.6 inches (40mm) in diameter. The SK5 steel blades ensure clean and precise cuts. Avoid attempting to cut branches exceeding this diameter to prevent damage to the tool and ensure user safety.

4.4 LED Display
The integrated LED display provides real-time information on battery levels and the total number of cuts performed. Monitor the battery level to ensure uninterrupted operation and recharge as needed.

4.5 Brushless Motor
The tool is equipped with a brushless motor, which offers consistent power delivery, operates at a cooler temperature, and has an extended lifespan compared to brushed motors. This design also contributes to quieter operation and reduced maintenance requirements.

5. Maintenance
5.1 Blade Care
The SK5 steel blades are designed for durability and sharpness. To maintain optimal cutting performance, regularly clean the blades after use to remove sap and debris. A spare SK5 blade is included for replacement when the primary blade shows signs of wear or dullness. Refer to the included hexagonal screwdriver and wrench for blade replacement.

5.2 Cleaning and Storage
After each use, ensure the tool is powered off and the battery is removed. Clean the blades and housing with a damp cloth. Store the pruning shears and all accessories in the provided storage case in a dry, secure location, away from children and moisture.
6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your TaskStar Electric Pruning Shears, refer to the following common solutions:
- Tool not powering on: Ensure the battery is fully charged and correctly inserted. Check the safety switch is disengaged.
- Blades not cutting effectively: Inspect the blades for damage or excessive debris. Clean the blades or replace them with the spare SK5 blade if necessary.
- Reduced runtime: Ensure batteries are fully charged before use. Battery performance can decrease in extremely cold temperatures.
