Neutral Wire Identification
Hold the sensor tip of the detector close to the wire or object to be tested. If the simulated grid point on the LCD lights up green and the buzzer beeps slowly, it indicates a neutral wire.
Live Wire Identification
Move the sensor tip of the detector closer to the wire or object to be tested. If the simulated grid point on the LCD lights up red and the buzzer sounds quickly, it indicates a live wire.
NCV Sensitivity Adjustment
The NCV sensitivity can be toggled by pressing the 'S' key (green button with 'S' and flashlight symbol). This allows for adjustment between high and low sensitivity modes, useful for different testing environments or for pinpointing voltage sources.
LED Flashlight
The device is equipped with a bright white LED flashlight. To activate or deactivate the flashlight, briefly press the 'S' key (green button with 'S' and flashlight symbol). This feature is particularly useful for working in dimly lit environments.
7. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the device with a dry, clean cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: Store the detector in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. If storing for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage.
- Battery Replacement: Replace batteries as soon as the low battery indicator appears to ensure accurate readings and proper functionality.
8. Troubleshooting
- Device does not turn on: Check if batteries are inserted correctly and have sufficient charge. Replace batteries if necessary.
- Inconsistent readings: Ensure the sensor tip is clean. Move away from strong electromagnetic fields that might interfere with readings. Check battery level.
- No detection: Ensure the device is turned on. Verify the circuit is indeed live by testing on a known live source. Adjust NCV sensitivity if needed.
