4.2. Cable Connections
The MPB1000PSI features a full modular design, allowing you to connect only the necessary cables. This improves airflow and simplifies cable management.
- Motherboard Power (24-PIN ATX): Connect the 24-PIN ATX cable from the PSU to the corresponding port on your motherboard.
- CPU Power (EPS 4+4 PIN): Connect one or two 4+4 PIN EPS cables to the CPU power connectors on your motherboard. Consult your motherboard manual for the correct configuration.
- Graphics Card Power (PCIe 6+2 PIN & 12V-2x6 PIN):
- For graphics cards requiring 6-PIN or 8-PIN PCIe power, use the 6+2 PIN PCIe cables.
- For modern graphics cards compatible with ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1, use the native 12V-2x6 PIN cable. Ensure it is fully seated.
- SATA Devices: Connect SATA power cables to SSDs, HDDs, and optical drives.
- Molex Devices: Connect Molex 4-PIN cables to older peripherals or case fans if required.
- AC Power: Once all internal components are connected, plug the AC power cord into the PSU and then into a grounded wall outlet.

5. Operating
5.1. Powering On/Off
- Initial Power On: After connecting all components and the AC power cord, flip the power switch on the back of the PSU to the 'ON' (I) position.
- System Start-up: Press the power button on your computer case to start the system.
- System Shutdown: Always shut down your computer through the operating system. Once the system is off, you may flip the PSU switch to 'OFF' (O) for complete power disconnection, especially during maintenance or extended periods of non-use.
5.2. AI2-RPM Fan Technology
The MPB1000PSI features an SI Extreme Silence 140mm fan with AI2-RPM technology. This intelligent system uses machine learning to dynamically adjust fan speed based on the system's real-time load, ensuring optimal cooling while minimizing noise. The FDB (Fluid Dynamic Bearing) design further contributes to quiet operation and extended fan lifespan.
5.3. 80 Plus Gold Efficiency
This power supply is 80 Plus Gold certified, indicating an efficiency of over 90% at typical loads. This means less energy is wasted as heat, resulting in lower operating temperatures, reduced electricity consumption, and a more stable power delivery to your components.

6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance helps ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your power supply.
- Dust Cleaning: Periodically inspect the PSU fan and ventilation grilles for dust accumulation. Use compressed air to gently clear dust from the fan blades and heatsinks. Ensure the PSU is powered off and unplugged before cleaning.
- Cable Inspection: Occasionally check all modular cable connections to ensure they are secure and free from damage.
- Environment: Maintain a clean, dry, and well-ventilated environment for your computer system to prevent excessive dust buildup and overheating.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your MPB1000PSI power supply, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:
- No Power:
- Ensure the AC power cord is securely plugged into both the PSU and a working wall outlet.
- Verify the PSU's power switch is in the 'ON' (I) position.
- Check all modular cables (24-PIN ATX, EPS, PCIe) are firmly connected to the PSU and the respective components.
- Test the wall outlet with another device to confirm it has power.
- System Instability/Crashes:
- Ensure your system's power requirements do not exceed the PSU's 1000W capacity.
- Verify all power connectors, especially for the CPU and graphics card, are correctly seated.
- The MPB1000PSI includes multiple protection systems (OCP, OVP, OPP, OTP, OLP, NLO, PFP, UVP, SCP, TCP) that may trigger a shutdown to protect components. If the PSU repeatedly shuts down, it may indicate an overload or a fault in a component.
- Fan Noise:
- While the AI2-RPM fan is designed for quiet operation, excessive noise might indicate dust buildup. Refer to the Maintenance section for cleaning instructions.
- Ensure no cables are obstructing the fan blades.
If problems persist after following these steps, contact Mars Gaming customer support.
