Setup and Installation
1. Prepare for Installation
- Turn off power at the main circuit breaker.
- Ensure the electrical box is securely mounted and capable of supporting the fan.
- Unpack all components and lay them out on a soft surface to prevent scratches.
2. Mounting the Bracket
Attach the mounting bracket to the ceiling electrical box using the provided screws and washers. Ensure the bracket is firmly secured.
3. Assembling the Downrod
Select the desired downrod length (5" or 10"). Feed the fan wires through the downrod. Insert the downrod into the fan motor housing and secure it with the provided pin and screw.
4. Hanging the Fan
Carefully lift the fan assembly and hang it on the mounting bracket hook. This will allow for hands-free wiring.
5. Wiring Connections
Connect the fan's electrical wires to the house wiring according to the following:
- Green/Bare Copper Wire: To Ground Wire (Green or Bare Copper)
- White Wire: To Neutral Wire (White)
- Black Wire: To Live/Hot Wire (Black)
Insert the remote receiver into the mounting bracket. Connect the receiver wires to the fan and house wires as per the receiver's instructions (typically color-coded).
6. Securing the Fan and Canopy
Once wiring is complete, carefully lift the fan off the hook and seat the downrod ball into the mounting bracket socket. Secure the canopy to the mounting bracket with the provided screws.
Operating Instructions
Your Bella Depot ceiling fan is operated by the included remote control. Ensure the remote has a 23A 12V battery installed (not included).
Remote Control Functions:
- Power Button (⏻): Turns the fan and light on/off.
- Fan Speed Buttons (1-6): Adjusts fan speed from 1 (lowest) to 6 (highest).
- Light On/Off Button (💡): Toggles the light on or off independently.
- Color Temperature Button (CCT): Cycles through 3 light color temperatures: Warm Light (3000K), Natural White (4000K), and Cool White (6000K).
- Timing Buttons (1H, 2H, 4H, 8H): Sets the fan to turn off automatically after 1, 2, 4, or 8 hours.
- Reverse Function Button (🔄): Changes the direction of the fan blades for summer (downdraft) or winter (updraft) operation.
Dual-Season Functionality:
The fan features a reversible motor for year-round comfort:
- Summer Mode (Downdraft): Press the reverse button to set the blades to rotate counter-clockwise, creating a downward airflow that produces a cooling effect.
- Winter Mode (Updraft): Press the reverse button again to set the blades to rotate clockwise, creating an upward airflow that circulates warm air trapped near the ceiling.
Light Color Temperature Adjustment:
The integrated LED light offers three distinct color temperatures to suit your preference or activity:
- 3000K (Warm Light): Provides a cozy, inviting ambiance, ideal for relaxation.
- 4000K (Natural White): A balanced, neutral light suitable for general tasks and everyday living.
- 6000K (Cool White): Bright, crisp light, often preferred for focused work or a more modern feel.
Press the color temperature button on the remote to cycle through these options.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your ceiling fan.
- Cleaning: Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the fan blades and motor housing. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure the power is off before cleaning.
- Tightening Screws: Periodically check all screws on the fan and mounting hardware to ensure they are tight. Loose connections can cause noise or wobble.
- Blade Balance: If the fan wobbles, ensure all blades are securely attached and balanced. A balancing kit (not included) can be used if necessary.
