4. Setup

1. Battery Installation: Open the battery compartment on the underside of the scale. Insert the three (3) AAA batteries, ensuring the correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment. Close the battery cover securely.
2. Placement: Place the scale on a firm, flat, and level surface. Uneven surfaces can affect accuracy.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Power On/Off

• Power On: Press the TARE/⑂ button to turn on the scale. The display will show '0' when ready for use.
• Power Off: Press and hold the TARE/⑂ button for a few seconds to turn off the scale. The scale will automatically shut off after a period of inactivity to conserve battery life.

5.2. Unit Conversion

The Vitafit scale supports multiple units of measurement. To switch between units:

• Press the UNIT button to cycle through the available units: grams (g), ounces (oz), pounds and ounces (lb:oz), kilograms (kg), and milliliters (ml).
• The selected unit will be displayed on the LED screen.

5.3. Tare Function (Zeroing)

The Tare function allows you to weigh multiple ingredients in the same container or to subtract the weight of a container from the total weight.

1. Place an empty container on the scale. The display will show its weight.
2. Press the TARE/⑂ button. The display will reset to '0'.
3. Add your first ingredient to the container. The display will show the weight of the ingredient only.
4. To add more ingredients, press the TARE/⑂ button again after each ingredient is added to reset the display to '0'.

5.4. Weighing Procedure

1. Turn on the scale and ensure it displays '0'.
2. Select your desired unit of measurement using the UNIT button.
3. Place the item(s) to be weighed directly onto the center of the scale platform, or use a container and apply the Tare function.
4. Wait for the display to stabilize and read the weight.

6. Maintenance and Care
