Setup and Assembly
Assembly typically requires two adults. Follow the included step-by-step instructions carefully. Ensure all connections are secure before use.

- Attach Canopy Support Poles: Securely fasten the two canopy support poles to the sandbox frame.
- Install Canopy: Drape and secure the canopy fabric onto the support poles. Ensure it is taut and properly aligned.

Operating Instructions
2-in-1 Sandbox and Picnic Table Functionality
The FunXplore sandbox is designed for versatile play and dining. Children can enjoy sand play within the designated sandpit area, while the attached picnic table provides a convenient space for snacks, crafts, or other activities.

Canopy Adjustment
The canopy offers adjustable height and tilt options to provide optimal shade and protection from sunlight or light rain. The canopy can be adjusted from 37.8 inches to 50.8 inches in height. It also features 360-degree rotation for flexible positioning.
- To adjust the canopy height, loosen the adjustment knobs on the support poles, slide the canopy to the desired height, and re-tighten the knobs.
- To tilt or rotate the canopy, gently adjust its position on the support poles.

Folding the Picnic Table into a Lid
The picnic table can be folded down to act as a lid, covering the sandbox when not in use. This helps protect the sand from weather elements and debris. To fold the picnic table, remove the four side bolts that secure it in the open position. With the assistance of another adult, carefully fold the table inwards over the sandbox. Ensure the canopy is adjusted to allow for the table to fold completely.

Maintenance
Regular maintenance will extend the life of your sandbox. The product is constructed from durable fir wood with eco-friendly water-based stains. However, it is important to note that the wood is not sealed for extreme weather conditions.
- Cleaning: Clean the wooden surfaces with a damp cloth and mild soap as needed. Avoid harsh chemicals.
- Wood Protection: While the wood is stained, applying an additional weather-resistant sealant annually is recommended to protect against prolonged exposure to sun, rain, and temperature fluctuations, especially in harsh climates.
- Hardware Check: Periodically check all screws, bolts, and connections for tightness. Re-tighten as necessary to ensure structural integrity.
- Sand Screen: The non-woven sand screen allows for water drainage. Ensure it remains free of large debris to maintain proper function.
- Canopy Care: Clean the canopy fabric with a damp cloth. If storing for extended periods, ensure the canopy is dry to prevent mildew.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Picnic table does not fold smoothly or completely. | Side bolts not fully removed; canopy obstruction; misaligned hinges. | Ensure all four side bolts are removed. Adjust canopy position. Check hinge alignment and lubricate if necessary. |
| Wood appears brittle or shows signs of wear after a few months. | Lack of additional weather protection; prolonged exposure to harsh elements. | Apply a weather-resistant sealant to the wood. Consider covering the sandbox during extreme weather or off-season. |
| Sand screen does not stay in place. | The screen is designed to be bottomless for drainage and does not attach to the frame. | This is normal operation. The screen is intended to contain sand while allowing water to pass through. |
| Canopy is difficult to adjust. | Adjustment knobs are too tight; mechanism is stiff. | Loosen adjustment knobs sufficiently. Apply a silicone-based lubricant to the sliding parts if needed. |
