Priming the Sprayer (Water Test):

Before using paint, it is crucial to prime the sprayer with water to ensure proper function and clear any manufacturing debris.

  1. Place the suction hose (14) into a bucket of clean water.
  2. Direct the return hose into a separate empty bucket.
  3. Turn the pressure regulating valve (8) to the lowest setting.
  4. Turn the on/off switch (5) to the "ON" position. The pump will start.
  5. Allow the water to circulate through the system until a steady stream flows from the return hose into the empty bucket, indicating the system is primed and air-free.
  6. Once primed, turn the on/off switch to "OFF".

4. Operating Instructions

Follow these steps for effective and safe paint application with your POXURIO Airless Paint Sprayer.

Preparing Paint:

  • Ensure your paint is suitable for airless sprayers. This sprayer is designed for thinning-free operation with most standard paints.
  • Stir the paint thoroughly. For best results, strain the paint through a mesh filter to remove any lumps or debris that could clog the nozzle.
  • Place the suction hose (14) directly into the paint container.

Spraying Technique:

  1. Turn the pressure regulating valve (8) to the desired pressure setting. Start with a lower setting and gradually increase until the desired spray pattern is achieved.
  2. Hold the spray gun (3) perpendicular to the surface, approximately 10-12 inches away.
  3. Maintain a consistent distance and speed while spraying to ensure an even coat. Overlap each pass by about 50% for uniform coverage.
  4. Release the trigger at the end of each pass to avoid paint buildup.
  5. For hard-to-reach areas or extended reach, utilize the 12-inch extension pole (2).

5. Maintenance and Cleaning

Proper cleaning and maintenance are essential for the longevity and optimal performance of your paint sprayer. Always clean the unit immediately after each use.

Cleaning Procedure:

  1. Relieve Pressure: Before disconnecting any hoses or components, ensure all pressure is relieved from the system. Turn off the unit, engage the spray gun safety lock, and then point the gun into a waste bucket and trigger it to release any remaining pressure.
  2. Flush with Water/Solvent:
    • Remove the suction hose from the paint and place it into a bucket of clean water (for water-based paints) or appropriate cleaning solvent (for oil-based paints).
    • Direct the return hose into a separate waste bucket.
    • Turn the sprayer "ON" and allow the cleaning solution to circulate through the system until it runs clear from the return hose.
  3. Clean Spray Gun and Nozzle:
    • Once the system is flushed, turn off the sprayer and relieve pressure.
    • Remove the spray nozzle and guard. Clean them thoroughly with a brush and appropriate cleaning solution.
    • Disassemble the spray gun as per the detailed instructions in your product manual (if applicable) and clean all internal components.
  4. External Cleaning: Wipe down the exterior of the sprayer and hoses with a damp cloth to remove any paint residue.
  5. Storage: Store the sprayer in a clean, dry place, protected from extreme temperatures. Ensure all hoses are properly coiled on the hose storage rack (6).
