2.3 Fuel Mixing:
The FARMMAC F070W uses a 2-stroke engine and requires a specific fuel-to-oil mixing ratio. Using the correct ratio ensures cleaner, longer, and stronger engine performance.
- FB Grade Oil: For a 25:1 ratio, add approximately 5.1 ounces of 2-stroke engine oil per gallon of gasoline.
- FD Grade Oil: For a 40:1 ratio, add approximately 3.2 ounces of 2-stroke engine oil per gallon of gasoline.
WARNING: Always select the correct FB or FD grade 2-cycle engine oil. Bar and chain oil is NOT for engine use.

Regular maintenance is crucial for the longevity and safe operation of your chainsaw.
4.1 Air Filter:
The FARMMAC F070W features a "Pro Flow" air filter system. Regularly inspect and clean the air filter to ensure optimal engine performance and prevent debris from entering the engine. A clogged air filter can reduce power and increase fuel consumption.
4.2 Spark Plug:
The FARMMAC F070W is equipped with high-quality spark plugs. Check the spark plug periodically for wear, carbon buildup, or damage. Replace if necessary to maintain easy starting and efficient combustion.
4.3 Chain and Bar:
Keep the chain sharp and properly tensioned. Ensure the guide bar is clean and the oil holes are clear. Lubricate the chain regularly with appropriate bar and chain oil.
5. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your chainsaw, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Engine won't start | Incorrect fuel mix, clogged fuel filter, faulty spark plug, incorrect starting procedure. | Check fuel mix, clean/replace fuel filter, inspect/replace spark plug, follow starting instructions carefully. |
| Loss of power during operation | Clogged air filter, dull chain, improper chain tension, carburetor issues. | Clean air filter, sharpen chain, adjust chain tension, consult a service technician for carburetor. |
| Excessive smoke | Incorrect fuel-to-oil ratio (too much oil), old fuel. | Ensure correct fuel mix, use fresh fuel. |
For issues not covered here, please consult a qualified service technician or contact FARMMAC customer support.
