3. Setup Instructions

Setting up your TP-Link Archer BE6500 router is designed to be simple and intuitive, primarily through the TP-Link Tether app.

  1. Connect Hardware:
    • Connect the power adapter to the router and plug it into a power outlet.
    • Connect your modem's Ethernet cable to the router's 2.5 Gbps WAN/Internet port.
    • (Optional) Connect your computer or other wired devices to the router's LAN ports using an Ethernet cable.

  3. Follow In-App Instructions:

    Open the Tether app and follow the step-by-step instructions to complete the initial setup, including setting up your Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password.

The Archer BE6500 (Archer BE400) utilizes the latest Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) standard, offering significantly higher speeds and lower latency compared to previous Wi-Fi generations. It operates on dual bands:

  • 2.4 GHz Band: Up to 688 Mbps

The combined speed reaches up to 6.5 Gbps, ideal for bandwidth-intensive activities.
