1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the Yicensen Single Bed Frame. This manual provides essential information for the safe and correct assembly, operation, and maintenance of your new bed frame. Please read these instructions carefully before beginning assembly and retain them for future reference.

The Yicensen Single Bed Frame is designed for a single mattress, measuring 90x200 cm, and features a modern minimalist design with a curved headboard and footboard. Its robust metal construction and reinforced steel slats provide stable support without the need for a box spring.

2. Safety Information

• Always assemble the bed frame on a soft, clean surface to prevent damage to the product or your floor.
• Ensure all bolts and screws are securely tightened before use. Periodically check and re-tighten fasteners.
• Do not exceed the maximum recommended weight capacity of 350 kg.
• Keep small parts away from children during assembly to prevent choking hazards.
• Do not stand or jump on the bed frame.
• Use only the mattress size specified (90x200 cm) to ensure proper fit and support.

4. Assembly Instructions

Assembly is designed to be straightforward. It is recommended to have two people for easier assembly.

1. Unpack Components: Carefully remove all parts from the packaging and lay them out on a clean, soft surface. Check against the package contents list.
2. Attach Side Rails: Connect the side rails to the headboard and footboard sections using the provided bolts and Allen key. Ensure all connections are snug but do not fully tighten yet.

3. Install Support Legs: Attach any central support legs to the frame as indicated in the diagrams.
4. Place Steel Slats: Lay the steel slats across the frame, ensuring they are evenly spaced and securely seated in their designated positions. The reinforced steel slats provide stable support for your mattress.
5. Final Tightening: Once all components are in place, systematically tighten all bolts and screws. Do not overtighten.
6. Attach Floor Protectors: The bed frame feet are equipped with anti-slip plastic pads (Bodenschützer) to prevent noise and protect your floor. Ensure these are properly seated.

5. Operating Instructions

After successful assembly, your Yicensen Single Bed Frame is ready for use.

• Mattress Placement: Carefully place your 90x200 cm mattress directly onto the steel slats. No box spring is required.
• Under-Bed Storage: The bed frame offers a clearance of approximately 41 cm (46 cm from floor to frame) providing ample space for under-bed storage containers or for easy cleaning.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance will ensure the longevity and continued stability of your bed frame.

• Cleaning: Wipe the metal frame with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners that could damage the powder-coated finish.
• Fastener Check: Periodically (e.g., every 3-6 months) check all bolts and screws to ensure they remain tight. Re-tighten if necessary to prevent wobbling or noise.
• Floor Protectors: Inspect the plastic floor protectors on the feet for wear and tear. Replace if damaged to maintain floor protection and prevent noise.

7. Troubleshooting

• Squeaking/Noise:
  • Ensure all bolts and screws are securely tightened. Loose connections are a common cause of noise.
  • Check that the mattress is properly seated on the slats and not rubbing against the frame.
  • Verify that the plastic floor protectors are intact and correctly positioned.
• Instability/Wobbling:
  • Re-check all connections for tightness.
  • Ensure the bed frame is on a level surface.
  • Confirm that all support legs are making firm contact with the floor.
• Slats Shifting:
  • Ensure slats are correctly positioned within their designated slots or supports.
  • Verify that the mattress is not too heavy or unevenly distributed, causing excessive pressure on certain slats.
