Setup Instructions

  1. Connect the Headset: Plug the RJ9 connector of the headset into the corresponding RJ9 port on your desk phone. This port is typically labeled for a headset or handset.
  2. Use the 8-Channel Adapter (if necessary): If you can hear the other party but they cannot hear you, or if the audio quality is poor, you may need to adjust the compatibility setting using the included 8-channel adapter.
  3. Adjust Adapter Channel: Connect the headset to the adapter, then connect the adapter to your phone's RJ9 interface. Locate the small switch on the side of the adapter. This switch allows you to select one of 8 different circuit configurations. Try each setting (1 through 8) until you find the one that provides clear two-way communication.
  4. Position the Microphone: Adjust the flexible microphone arm so that the microphone is positioned approximately 1-2 inches from your mouth for optimal voice pickup. The microphone arm can rotate 330 degrees.

Operating Instructions

  • Making/Receiving Calls: Once connected and configured, use your desk phone as usual. Audio will be routed through the headset.
  • Volume Adjustment: Use the volume control switch located on the in-line control unit to increase or decrease the listening volume.
  • Mute Function: Press the mute button on the in-line control unit to temporarily silence your microphone. An indicator light will typically show when the microphone is muted. Press it again to unmute.
  • Microphone Positioning: For the best sound quality, ensure the microphone is positioned close to your mouth. The flexible arm allows for easy adjustment.

Maintenance
