1. Introduction

This manual provides essential instructions for the proper setup, operation, and maintenance of your SOULYI Digital Gun Safe. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the safe to ensure optimal performance and security. 2. Safety Information

Your SOULYI Digital Gun Safe is DOJ Certified, meaning it meets the stringent safety standards of the California Department of Justice. This certification confirms its resistance to tampering, forced entry, and other security tests.

• Always store firearms unloaded and separate from ammunition.
• Keep the safe locked at all times when not in use.
• Store emergency keys in a secure location away from the safe and out of reach of children or unauthorized individuals.
• Ensure the safe is securely mounted or cabled to a fixed object to prevent unauthorized removal.
• Do not share your access code with unauthorized individuals.

4. Setup

4.1 Battery Installation

1. Open the safe using one of the emergency keys.
2. Locate the battery compartment, typically on the inside of the door or lid.
3. Insert four (4) AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
4. Close the battery compartment cover.

Note: Some users have reported that the battery compartment may be tight. If you encounter difficulty, ensure batteries are aligned correctly. Do not force them, as this may damage the compartment.

4.2 Security Cable Installation

The included security cable allows you to secure the safe to a fixed object, preventing unauthorized removal.

1. Locate the cable port on the side or back of the safe.
2. Loop the security cable around a sturdy, immovable object (e.g., a bed frame, car seat anchor, desk leg).
3. Insert the cable's locking end into the port on the safe.
4. Secure the cable by engaging the internal locking mechanism, often by closing the safe lid or a specific internal latch. Refer to the diagram below.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Setting Your Passcode

The safe supports a 3 to 8-digit passcode.

1. Open the safe using an emergency key.
2. Locate the reset button inside the safe (often a small button near the battery compartment). Press it once.
3. The keypad lights will illuminate. Enter your desired 3-8 digit passcode.
4. Press the 'SET' or 'ENTER' button (refer to keypad markings) to confirm.
5. Close the safe and test your new passcode. If successful, the safe will open.

5.2 Opening with the Digital Keypad

To open the safe using your set passcode:

1. Press any key to activate the keypad.
2. Enter your 3-8 digit passcode.
3. The safe will unlock and the lid will open automatically.

5.3 Opening with Emergency Keys

In case of battery failure or forgotten passcode, use the emergency keys:

1. Locate the keyhole on the front of the safe.
2. Insert one of the emergency keys.
3. Turn the key to unlock the safe. The lid will open.

5.4 Sound and Light Control

The safe features separate switches to control the internal light and keypad sound. These are typically located near the keypad or inside the safe lid.

• Sound ON/OFF: Toggle the sound switch to enable or disable audible feedback for keypad presses and opening/closing actions. Disabling sound can be useful for discreet access.
• Light ON/OFF: Toggle the light switch to enable or disable the internal illumination when the safe is opened.
