Welcome to the Edifier EHS-1 OTC Hearing Aids user manual. This guide provides detailed instructions for the proper use, setup, and maintenance of your new neckband-style hearing aids. 3. Product Overview
The Edifier EHS-1 features an ergonomic neckband design with integrated controls and in-ear earpieces. Familiarize yourself with the main components:
- Neckband: Flexible and skin-friendly silicone band that rests around your neck.
- Earpieces: In-ear design with interchangeable earcaps for a secure and comfortable fit.
- Control Panel: Located on the neckband, featuring power, volume, and call buttons.
- Charging Port: USB Type-C port for recharging the device.

4. Setup
4.1 Charging the Device
Before first use, fully charge your Edifier EHS-1 hearing aids. A full charge takes approximately 2 hours and provides up to 30 hours of power in hearing aid mode or 20 hours in Bluetooth mode.
- Locate the USB Type-C charging port on the neckband.
- Connect the provided USB Type-C cable to the charging port.
- Connect the other end of the cable to a compatible USB power source (e.g., wall adapter, computer USB port).
- The indicator light will show charging status. It will typically turn off or change color when fully charged.

4.2 Selecting Earcaps
For optimal sound quality and comfort, choose the earcap size that best fits your ear canal. The device comes with small (S), medium (M), and large (L) earcaps.
- Gently remove the pre-installed earcaps.
- Select a size that feels snug but comfortable, creating a good seal in your ear.
- Attach the chosen earcaps firmly to the earpieces.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Power On/Off
To power on the device, slide the ON/OFF switch to the 'ON' position. To power off, slide it to the 'OFF' position. Voice prompts will confirm the power status.
5.2 Switching Modes (Hearing Aid / Bluetooth)
The Edifier EHS-1 operates in two modes: Hearing Aid Mode and Bluetooth Mode. The device automatically switches between modes based on connection status or user input.
- Hearing Aid Mode: Enhances ambient sounds for clearer conversations and environmental awareness. Ideal for social gatherings or watching TV.
- Bluetooth Mode: Connects to your smartphone or other Bluetooth-enabled devices for streaming music, taking calls, or listening to podcasts.

5.3 Volume Control
Adjust the hearing aid volume using the physical buttons on the neckband. There are 5 levels of volume control.
- Press the '+' button to increase volume.
- Press the '-' button to decrease volume.
Voice prompts will indicate the current volume level.
5.4 Phone Calls
When connected via Bluetooth, you can manage phone calls directly from the device:
- Answer/End Call: Press the Phone Call button once.
- Reject Call: Press and hold the Phone Call button for 2 seconds.
- Enter Bluetooth Pairing Mode: Press and hold the Phone Call button for 5 seconds (when not on a call).

6. Bluetooth Pairing
To connect your Edifier EHS-1 to a Bluetooth-enabled device (e.g., smartphone, tablet), follow these steps:
- Ensure the EHS-1 is powered on.
- If not already in pairing mode, press and hold the Phone Call button for 5 seconds until the indicator light flashes, indicating pairing mode.
- On your device, go to Bluetooth settings and ensure Bluetooth is enabled.
- Search for available devices. You should see "EHS-1" in the list.
- Select "EHS-1" to connect. A voice prompt will confirm successful pairing.
Once paired, the EHS-1 will automatically connect to the last paired device when powered on and within range.
7. Maintenance
7.1 Cleaning
Regular cleaning helps maintain performance and hygiene:
- Wipe the neckband and earpieces with a soft, dry cloth.
- Remove earcaps periodically and clean them with a mild soap solution, then rinse and dry thoroughly before reattaching.
- Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials for cleaning.
7.2 Storage
When not in use, store the hearing aids in the provided pouch in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
7.3 Water Resistance
The Edifier EHS-1 has an IP54 rating, meaning it is resistant to dust and splashing water. It is not designed for submersion in water. Avoid exposing the device to heavy rain or showering.
