- Place the grill on a stable, heat-resistant surface, away from walls and cabinets, to ensure proper ventilation.
- Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs. Always use oven mitts or pot holders when handling hot parts.
- Do not use attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer, as this may cause injuries.
- Always attach the temperature control unit to the appliance first, then plug the cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn the control to "OFF", then remove the plug from the wall outlet, and finally remove the control unit from the appliance.
- Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
- Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids.

The MegaChef 10.63 Inch Electric Grill is designed for convenient indoor grilling. It features a durable die-cast aluminum plate with a two-layer non-stick copper coating, a detachable temperature control thermostat, and a removable drip tray for easy cleaning.

Setup and First Use
- Unpack: Carefully remove all packaging materials and inspect the grill for any damage. Retain packaging for future storage or transport if needed.
- Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wipe the grill plate with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. Wipe the exterior of the grill with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the grill base or temperature control unit in water.
- Insert Drip Tray: Slide the removable drip tray into its designated slot beneath the grill plate. Ensure it is fully inserted.

- Attach Temperature Control: Ensure the temperature control unit is set to "OFF". Insert the probe of the temperature control unit firmly into the receptacle on the side of the grill plate. Make sure it is securely seated.
- Placement: Place the assembled grill on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface, ensuring adequate space around the appliance for ventilation. Keep it away from flammable materials.
Operating Instructions
- Connect Power: With the temperature control unit securely attached to the grill and set to "OFF", plug the power cord into a standard 120V AC electrical outlet.
- Adjust Temperature: Turn the temperature control dial to your desired cooking temperature. The indicator light will illuminate, signaling that the grill is heating.

- Preheat: Allow the grill to preheat for approximately 5-10 minutes, or until the indicator light turns off, indicating the desired temperature has been reached. The light will cycle on and off during cooking to maintain the set temperature.
- Cooking: Carefully place food onto the preheated grill plate. The non-stick copper coating allows for cooking with minimal or no oil. Avoid using metal utensils that could scratch the non-stick surface; use heat-resistant plastic, silicone, or wooden utensils.
- Monitor Drip Tray: Periodically check the drip tray during cooking, especially when grilling fatty foods. Empty it as needed, ensuring the grill is unplugged and cooled before handling the tray.
- Finish Cooking: Once cooking is complete, turn the temperature control dial to "OFF" and unplug the appliance from the wall outlet. Allow the grill to cool completely before cleaning.

Maintenance and Cleaning
Proper cleaning and maintenance will extend the life of your MegaChef Electric Grill.
- Cool Down: Always ensure the grill is unplugged and completely cool before attempting to clean it.
- Remove Temperature Control: Carefully detach the temperature control unit from the grill. This unit should never be immersed in water or placed in a dishwasher. Wipe it with a damp cloth if necessary.
- Empty Drip Tray: Remove the drip tray and discard any collected grease or food particles. Wash the drip tray in warm, soapy water or place it in the dishwasher.
- Clean Grill Plate: The non-stick copper surface is easy to clean. Wipe the grill plate with a soft, damp cloth or sponge. For stubborn food residue, use a small amount of mild dish soap. Avoid abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or metal brushes, as these can damage the non-stick coating.
- Clean Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the grill base with a damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Dry Thoroughly: Ensure all parts are completely dry before reassembling or storing the grill.
- Storage: Store the grill in a clean, dry place. You may reinsert the drip tray and store the temperature control unit separately or attached, ensuring it is protected.
