- Press and hold the ALERT button for 3 seconds to enter alarm setting mode. The upper temperature limit will flash.
- Use the + or - buttons to adjust the desired upper temperature limit for the probe.
- Press the ALERT button again to confirm the upper limit and proceed to set the lower temperature limit. The lower limit will flash.
- Use the + or - buttons to adjust the desired lower temperature limit for the probe.
- Press the ALERT button once more to confirm the lower limit and exit alarm setting mode.
- The alarm range is -40°C to 40°C (-40°F to 104°F).
- An alarm will sound and the icon will flash if the probe temperature exceeds the set range. There is a 1-minute delay to prevent false alarms from brief temperature fluctuations (e.g., opening a refrigerator door).
- To disable the alarm, press the ALERT button once while not in setting mode.
3. Viewing and Resetting Min/Max Records:
- Press the + / HIST button to cycle through the 24-hour minimum/maximum records and all-time minimum/maximum records for the probe temperature.

Maintenance
1. Battery Replacement:
When the display becomes dim or unresponsive, it is time to replace the AAA batteries. Follow the battery installation steps in the Setup section.
2. Cleaning:
Wipe the thermometer unit and probe with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the main unit in water. The probe is waterproof and can be cleaned with water.
3. Storage:
If storing the device for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage and damage.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No display or dim display | Low or dead batteries; incorrect battery polarity. | Replace batteries with new AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity. |
| Inaccurate temperature readings | Probe not properly connected; probe damaged; unit placed in direct sunlight or near heat source. | Ensure probe is securely connected. If probe is damaged, it may need replacement. Relocate the unit away from extreme temperature sources. |
| Alarm not sounding | Alarm function disabled; alarm limits set too wide. | Ensure alarm is enabled (check for alarm icon). Re-set alarm limits to desired range. |
| Min/Max records not resetting | Incorrect button press. | Press and hold the + / HIST button for 3 seconds to reset 24-hour records. All-time records reset with battery change. |
