4. Setup and Assembly

Assembly of the CLP Laflin I stool is straightforward, though some steps may require careful alignment. Follow these steps:

  1. Attach Casters: Insert each of the five casters firmly into the holes at the end of each arm of the star base until they click into place.
  2. Insert Gas Lift: Place the gas lift cylinder into the central hole of the assembled star base. Do not remove the protective cap from the top of the gas lift until instructed.
  3. Attach Seat: Carefully align the mechanism under the seat with the top of the gas lift cylinder. Remove the protective cap from the gas lift. Gently lower the seat onto the gas lift, applying slight pressure until it is securely seated.
  4. Secure Seat (if applicable): If your model includes screws to attach the seat to the mechanism, use the provided hardware and Allen key to firmly secure them. Ensure the seat is properly aligned before tightening.

Note: Some users have reported that securing the seat cushion to the base may require firm pressure or careful alignment. Ensure all parts are correctly positioned before tightening any screws.

5. Operating Instructions

The CLP Laflin I stool offers adjustable height and 360-degree swivel functionality for optimal comfort and flexibility.

  • Height Adjustment: To raise the seat, lift the lever located under the right side of the seat while standing up. To lower the seat, lift the lever while seated, allowing your weight to push the seat down. Release the lever at your desired height. The seat height can be adjusted between approximately 43 cm and 53 cm.
  • Swivel Function: The seat is designed to rotate 360 degrees, allowing for easy movement and access to different areas without needing to reposition the entire stool.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance will help prolong the life and appearance of your work stool.

  • Cleaning the Seat: Wipe the faux leather upholstered seat with a soft, damp cloth. For stubborn stains, use a mild soap solution and immediately wipe dry. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Cleaning the Base and Casters: Clean the chrome metal base and casters with a soft, dry cloth. For dirt on casters, you may use a slightly damp cloth. Ensure no hair or debris is tangled in the caster wheels.
  • Hardware Check: Periodically (e.g., every 3-6 months) check all screws and bolts to ensure they are tight. Re-tighten if necessary to maintain stability.
