Key Controls:

  • OFF/ON Switch: Located on the top left, controls power.

Setup

1. Charging the Battery

  1. Connect the provided Type-C charging cable to the CHARGE (DC 5V) port on the radio.
  2. Connect the other end of the cable to a standard USB power adapter (not included) or a computer USB port.
  3. The LED indicator will illuminate during charging. It will change color or turn off once fully charged.
  4. A full charge provides up to 18 hours of battery life.

2. Powering On/Off

  • To power on the radio, slide the OFF/ON switch to the 'ON' position.
  • To power off, slide the switch back to the 'OFF' position.

Operating Instructions

1. Selecting a Mode

Press the M/* button repeatedly to cycle through the available modes: FM, AM, SW, Bluetooth, USB, and TF Card (if inserted).

2. Radio Operation (FM/AM/SW)

  1. Extend the telescopic antenna for optimal reception, especially for FM and SW bands.
  2. Select the desired radio band (FM, AM, or SW) using the M/* button.
  3. Slowly turn the TUNING knob to scan for stations. The frequency will be displayed on the front panel.
  4. Adjust the VOLUME knob to your preferred listening level.

3. Bluetooth Operation

  1. Press the M/* button until the radio enters Bluetooth mode (an audible prompt or indicator may confirm this).
  2. On your Bluetooth-enabled device (e.g., smartphone, tablet), search for available Bluetooth devices.
  3. Select "MK-178BT" (or similar name) from the list to pair.
  4. Once paired, you can stream audio from your device to the radio. Use the ►█, ◀◀, and ►► buttons to control playback.

4. USB/Storage Card Playback

  1. Insert a USB drive into the USB Slot or a Micro SD (TF) card into the TF Slot.
  2. The radio should automatically switch to USB or TF card mode. If not, press the M/* button to select the correct mode.
  3. The radio will begin playing audio files from the inserted storage device.
  4. Use the ►█ button to play/pause, and the ◀◀ / ►► buttons to skip tracks.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning

  • Wipe the exterior of the radio with a soft, dry cloth.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or strong chemicals.

2. Battery Care

  • Charge the battery fully before first use.
  • Avoid completely draining the battery frequently to prolong its lifespan.
  • If storing the radio for an extended period, charge it to about 50% every few months.

3. Storage

  • Store the radio in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Keep it away from dust and moisture.

Troubleshooting
