Setup

  1. Unpack the Machine: Remove the vacuum sealer and all accessories from the packaging.
  2. Initial Cleaning: Wipe the machine's exterior with a damp cloth. Ensure the liquid tray is clean and dry.
  3. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet. The Power indicator light will illuminate.
  4. Bag Roll Installation (Optional):
    • Lift the lid of the vacuum sealer.
    • Place the bag roll into the designated storage slot.
    • Pull out the desired length of bag material.
    • Use the built-in cutter by sliding it from left to right to create a custom-sized bag.
    • To create a bag from a roll, you must first seal one end using the 'Seal Only' mode (see Operating Instructions).

Operating Instructions

The Bonsenkitchen VS3019 offers four versatile operating modes to suit various food preservation needs.

  1. General Vacuum Sealing Steps:
    • Place the food into a vacuum sealer bag, ensuring the open end is clean and dry. Leave at least 3 inches of space between the food and the top of the bag.
    • Open the lid by pressing the lock buttons on both sides.
    • Place the open end of the bag into the vacuum chamber, ensuring it lies flat over the sealing strip.
    • Close the lid firmly until you hear two distinct "clicks" from both lock buttons.
    • Select your desired mode on the control panel.
    • Once the process is complete, press the lock buttons to release the lid and remove your sealed bag.

  2. Vac & Seal Mode (Automatic Vacuuming and Sealing):
    • Ideal for firm and dry foods like meats, nuts, and coffee beans.
    • Press the 'Vac & Seal' button. The machine will automatically vacuum the air and then seal the bag.

  3. Pulse Vac Mode (Manual Control for Delicate Foods):
    • Use for delicate or moist foods like bread, soft fruits, or marinated items to prevent crushing or excessive liquid suction.
    • Press and hold the 'Pulse Vac' button to vacuum air. Release the button when the desired vacuum level is reached.
    • Immediately press the 'Seal' button to seal the bag.

  4. Seal Only Mode (For Sealing Bags without Vacuuming):
    • Perfect for sealing chip bags, snack bags, or creating custom-sized bags from a roll.
    • Place the bag end in the vacuum chamber and press the 'Seal' button. The machine will only seal without vacuuming.
  5. Accessory Mode (For External Containers):
    • Connect the air suction hose to the accessory port on the left side of the machine.
    • Attach the other end of the hose to the vacuum port of a compatible container (jars, canisters, sous vide bags).
    • Press the 'Accessory' button to start vacuuming. The machine will stop automatically when the desired vacuum is achieved.
