3.2 Channel Management

The WING-BK supports 48 channels, each configurable for mono, stereo, or mid-point configurations. Use the touchscreen to select individual channels and access their parameters. You can adjust gain, trim, EQ, dynamics (gate, compressor), and effects for each channel.

The WING-BK can be remotely controlled via an iPad, offering flexibility to adjust settings from different locations within your venue. This feature enhances workflow efficiency during live sound applications.

4. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Behringer WING-BK, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Regularly clean the surface of the unit with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents. For the touchscreen, use a microfiber cloth specifically designed for electronics.
  • Firmware Updates: Periodically check the Behringer website for firmware updates. Keeping your device's firmware up-to-date ensures access to the latest features, improvements, and bug fixes.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the WING-BK in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. If transporting, use appropriate protective casing.
  • Cable Management: Ensure all cables are neatly organized and not under strain to prevent damage to connectors and ports.

5. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Behringer WING-BK, consider the following basic troubleshooting steps:

  • No Power: Ensure the power cable is securely connected to both the unit and a working power outlet. Check the power switch position.
  • No Audio Output: Verify all audio cables are correctly connected. Check channel routing and fader levels on the console and any connected expansion cards. Ensure mute buttons are disengaged.
  • Intermittent Audio: Inspect all cables for damage. Ensure connections are secure. Check for any loose expansion cards.
  • Touchscreen Unresponsive: Try restarting the unit. If the issue persists, consult the Behringer support resources.
  • Network Issues (Dante): Verify network cable connections. Ensure proper IP configuration and patching within the Dante Controller software.
