3. Initial Setup

- Bio-Guard Filters (2): These patented filters use Electrostatic Precipitation (ESP) to capture 99.99% of particle pollutants as small as 0.1 microns, including smoke, dust, pollen, and pet dander. These filters are washable and reusable.
- Ozone Emission Removal Filter: Eliminates harmful ozone from the air, reducing levels down to 1 ppb, which is significantly lower than EPA standards. This filter is cleanable and reusable.

7. Maintenance & Filter Cleaning
The Nuwave Forever Plus features washable and reusable filters, eliminating the need for costly replacements and reducing waste. Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance.
- Power Off and Unplug: Always ensure the air purifier is turned off and unplugged from the power outlet before performing any maintenance.
- Remove Filter Cover: Open the filter access panel on the back of the unit.
- Remove Filters: Carefully remove all filters from their slots. It is recommended to wear a mask to avoid inhaling any accumulated particles.
- Clean Filter Housing: Use a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment to clean the inside of the filter housing and the outside of the side vents. Alternatively, use a clean cloth or duster.
- Clean Dust Sensor: Remove the dust sensor cover on the back of the unit. Use a vacuum brush across the sensor opening. For a deeper clean, use a Q-Tip or clean cloth to gently clean the inside of the dust sensor. Replace the cover.
- Clean Ozone Filter (#OTA2): Vacuum both sides of the ozone filter (up and down, then side to side strokes). An alternative method is to use a brush and a garbage bag, brushing downward into the bag.
- Clean Bio-Guard Filters (2) (#OTA3): Spray both sides of the Bio-Guard filters completely with a mild degreaser or detergent. Let it set for a few moments. Immerse the filters in water and shake them several times. Rinse through the center and shake until the water runs clear. Lift and allow excess water to drain.
- Clean Stainless Steel Pre-Filter (#OTA4): This filter is washable. Use warm soapy water and thoroughly air dry only.
- Dry Filters: It is critical that all filters are completely dry before reinstallation. NEVER put a wet filter back into the unit. Allow filters to air dry thoroughly.
- Reinstall Filters: Once dry, reinsert all filters into their correct numbered slots. Close the filter access panel.
