1. Introduction

These u-Box tube rock sliders are designed to provide robust side and undercarriage protection for your vehicle. They feature a steel tube design that integrates with the vehicle's body lines, offering enhanced off-road clearance and a rugged aesthetic. The construction utilizes durable materials and a protective coating for longevity in various environments.

2. Compatibility

These rock sliders are compatible with the following vehicle models:

• 2010-2024 Toyota 4Runner 5th Generation models.

Exclusions: Please note that these rock sliders are not compatible with the following 4Runner trims:

• Limited
• Nightshade
• TRD Sport
• 2010-2013 SR5

3. What's in the Box

Verify that all components are present before beginning installation:

• 2 × Tube Sliders (Passenger & Driver Sides)
• Mounting Hardware Kit
• Installation Guide (this document)

4. Safety Precautions

Always prioritize safety during installation and operation. Failure to follow these precautions may result in injury or damage to the product or vehicle.

• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses and gloves.
• Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the parking brake is engaged.
• Use jack stands to support the vehicle if lifting is required.
• Do not overtighten fasteners; refer to the torque specifications in the detailed installation guide (if provided separately).
• Keep children and pets away from the work area.
• If you are unsure about any step, consult a professional mechanic.

5. Installation Instructions

The u-Box rock sliders are designed for a straightforward bolt-on installation. No drilling is required, as they utilize existing factory mounting points on your vehicle. If your vehicle is equipped with factory running boards, they must be removed prior to installing these rock sliders.

5.1. Tools Required (Not Included)

• Socket Wrench Set
• Torque Wrench
• Safety Glasses
• Gloves

5.2. Pre-Installation Steps

1. Park the vehicle on a flat, stable surface and engage the parking brake.
2. If present, remove any existing factory running boards or side steps. Refer to your vehicle's owner's manual for specific removal instructions.
3. Identify the factory mounting points along the rocker panel area of your vehicle's frame.
4. Clean the mounting areas to ensure a secure fit.

5.3. Mounting the Rock Sliders

1. Position one of the tube sliders against the vehicle's frame, aligning the mounting brackets with the factory mounting points. Ensure you are using the correct slider for the passenger or driver side.
2. Secure the slider using the provided mounting hardware. Start all bolts by hand to prevent cross-threading.
3. Once all bolts are started, gradually tighten them using a socket wrench.
4. Refer to the detailed installation guide (included in the box) for specific torque specifications for each fastener. Ensure all bolts are tightened to the recommended torque.
5. Repeat the process for the opposite side of the vehicle.
6. After installation, double-check all fasteners to ensure they are securely tightened.

6. Operation and Usage

The u-Box rock sliders are designed to protect your vehicle's rocker panels and undercarriage during off-road driving. Their high-and-tight design maximizes ground clearance, which is crucial for navigating challenging terrains.

• Rocker Panel Protection: The primary function is to shield the rocker panels from impacts with rocks, debris, and other obstacles encountered during off-road adventures.

• Check Fasteners: Periodically check all mounting bolts and nuts to ensure they remain tight. Re-tighten to factory specifications if necessary.
• Inspect Coating: The textured black powder coat with E-coating provides corrosion resistance. If the coating is chipped or scratched, consider touch-up paint to prevent rust.

8. Troubleshooting

• Loose Fit: If the rock sliders feel loose after installation, re-check all mounting hardware. Ensure bolts are tightened to the recommended torque specifications. Over time, vibrations can cause fasteners to loosen, so periodic checks are important.

• Corrosion/Rust: While the product features a durable coating, severe impacts or prolonged exposure to harsh conditions without maintenance can lead to coating damage and potential corrosion. Clean and apply touch-up paint to damaged areas promptly.
• Difficulty Aligning: Ensure you have the correct slider for the correct side of the vehicle. Verify that no debris or obstructions are preventing proper alignment with the factory mounting points.
