Installation Guide
Follow these steps for proper installation of your EMKE Thermostatic Radiator Valve. Ensure all connections are secure to prevent leaks.
- Check Compatibility: Verify that your radiator has a 50 mm central connection and G1/2 thread. Note that the valve connection size is ⌀16 mm. If your water pipe is ⌀15 mm, contact EMKE customer service for suitable adapter couplings.
- Prepare Connections: Ensure the radiator and pipe connections are clean and free of debris.
- Mount the Valve: The 2-in-1 design allows for both angled and in-line configurations. Position the valve according to your pipe direction and radiator setup. The multibloc set allows the thermostat head to be mounted on either the left or right side.
- Secure Connections: Hand-tighten all connections, then use an appropriate wrench to secure them firmly. Do not overtighten. Ensure all O-rings and PTFE tape (if used) are correctly in place for a leak-proof seal.
- Test for Leaks: After installation, slowly fill the system and check all connections for any signs of leakage. Address any leaks immediately.

Operating Instructions
The thermostatic regulator allows you to set your desired room temperature precisely. The valve features 7 distinct settings.
- Temperature Settings: Rotate the thermostatic head to select your desired temperature. The settings correspond to approximate room temperatures as shown in the table below.
- Frost Protection: The '*' setting activates frost protection, maintaining a minimum temperature of 7°C to prevent damage to your heating system during cold periods.

Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your thermostatic radiator valve.
- Cleaning: Wipe the valve and thermostatic head with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the chrome finish.
- Check for Leaks: Periodically inspect all connections for any signs of water leakage. Tighten connections if necessary.
- Functionality Check: Occasionally rotate the thermostatic head through all settings to ensure smooth operation and prevent sticking.

Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your EMKE Thermostatic Radiator Valve, refer to the following common solutions:
- Leakage: If water leakage occurs, check the following potential causes:
- Loose Connections: Ensure all valve connections are properly tightened.
- Missing O-rings: Verify that all necessary O-rings are present and correctly seated.
- Incorrect PTFE Tape Application: If PTFE tape was used, ensure it was applied correctly and provides an adequate seal.
- No Heat/Constant Heat: Ensure the thermostatic head is set to the desired temperature and not stuck. If the valve is old, internal components might be worn and require replacement.
- Difficulty Turning Head: If the thermostatic head is stiff, try gently rotating it through its full range of motion. If it remains stiff, check for any obstructions or debris.
