5.2 Installation Steps

  2. Install the Deadbolt Latch: Insert the deadbolt latch into the door edge. Ensure the 'UP' arrow on the latch is facing upwards. Secure with screws.
  3. Install the Exterior Assembly: Route the cable from the exterior assembly through the door hole and under the deadbolt latch. Align the exterior assembly with the door hole.
  4. Install the Interior Mounting Plate: Secure the interior mounting plate to the door using the provided screws, ensuring the cable passes through the plate.
  5. Connect the Cable: Connect the cable from the exterior assembly to the interior assembly.
  6. Install the Interior Assembly: Mount the interior assembly onto the mounting plate, ensuring the thumb turn operates smoothly. Secure with screws.
  7. Install Batteries: Insert 4 AA batteries (not included) into the interior assembly's battery compartment.

6. Operation

6.1 Unlocking Methods

  • Fingerprint: Place a registered finger on the fingerprint sensor. The lock will unlock if the fingerprint is recognized.
  • Keypad Code: Enter your 4-8 digit user code followed by the '#' key. The lock will unlock.
  • Physical Key: Insert the physical key into the keyhole and turn to unlock.
  • One-Time Code: Enter the temporary one-time code followed by '#'. This code will be deleted after a single use.

6.2 Locking Options

  • Automatic Lock: If enabled, the deadbolt will automatically extend after a set delay (5-99 seconds) once the door is closed.
  • Manual Lock: From the exterior, press and hold any key on the keypad for 2 seconds to manually lock the deadbolt.
  • Interior Knob Lock: From the interior, turn the thumb turn to lock the deadbolt instantly.
  • Mechanical Key Lock: Use the physical key to lock the deadbolt from the exterior.

6.3 Anti-Peeping Password

To prevent others from guessing your code, you can enter random digits before or after your actual code. For example, if your code is 123456, you can enter 987+123456+321. The lock will still recognize the correct sequence within the longer entry.
