4. Setup and Installation

The Pelsee P1 Pro Dash Cam is designed for effortless installation. Follow these steps for a quick setup:

4.1 Front Camera Installation

1. Clean the windshield area where you intend to mount the dash cam.
2. Apply a static sticker to the chosen area on the windshield. This helps in easy removal and repositioning.
3. Attach the dash cam to the static sticker using its adhesive mount. Ensure the lens has a clear view of the road.
4. Conceal the power cable along the trim of your vehicle using the included cable clips for a neat installation.

4.2 Rear Camera Installation

1. Mount the rear camera on the inside of your rear windshield, ensuring a clear view.
2. Connect the rear camera to the main dash cam using the provided rear camera cable.
3. Route the rear camera cable neatly along the vehicle's interior trim to the front dash cam.

4.3 Power Connection

1. Plug the car charger into your vehicle's 12V power socket (cigarette lighter).
2. Connect the USB cable from the car charger to the dash cam's USB Type-C port.
3. The dash cam will power on automatically when your vehicle starts.

5. Operating Instructions

The Pelsee P1 Pro is designed for intuitive operation. Here are the basic steps to get started:

5.1 Power On/Off

• Automatic: The dash cam powers on and begins recording automatically when connected to vehicle power and the ignition is turned on. It powers off automatically when the ignition is turned off.
• Manual: Press and hold the power button (if available) to manually turn the device on or off.

5.2 Recording Modes

• Normal Recording: Continuous recording while driving. Footage is saved in segments (e.g., 1, 3, or 5 minutes) and loop-recorded.
• Emergency Recording: Triggered by the G-sensor upon impact or manually by pressing the emergency button. These files are locked and not overwritten by loop recording.
• Parking Mode Recording: Activates when the vehicle is parked (requires hardwire kit). Records based on motion detection or impact.

5.3 Menu Navigation

Use the physical buttons on the dash cam to navigate through the menu options on the 3.39-inch IPS screen. Typically, there are buttons for Menu, Up, Down, OK/Confirm, and Power.

• Menu Button: Access settings and playback modes.

5.4 Pelsee Cam App

6.1 SD Card Management

• Formatting: Regularly format the SD card (at least once a month) through the dash cam's menu to prevent data corruption and ensure smooth recording.
• Capacity: The included 64GB SD card is sufficient for daily use. For extended recording, the dash cam supports up to 512GB. Use high-endurance microSD cards (Class 10 or U3 recommended).
• Replacement: SD cards have a limited lifespan. If you experience recording errors or corrupted files, consider replacing the SD card.
