- Sensor Placement: Periodically inspect the outdoor sensor's location to ensure it remains protected from direct sunlight and heavy precipitation, which can affect measurement accuracy and device longevity.
6. Troubleshooting
- No Display or Power: Ensure the power adapter is securely connected to both the main unit and a working power outlet. If using batteries, verify they are correctly inserted and not depleted.
- No Outdoor Sensor Data:
- Check the outdoor sensor's batteries and replace if necessary.
- Ensure the sensor is within the 80-meter wireless range of the main unit.
- Minimize obstructions between the sensor and the main unit (e.g., thick walls, large metal objects).
- Try re-pairing the sensor by following the instructions in the EMOS GoSmart app or the device's manual.
- WiFi Connectivity Issues:
- Confirm your WiFi network is operating on the 2.4 GHz band.
- Check the WiFi signal strength at the weather station's location.
- Restart your WiFi router and the weather station.
- Follow the specific troubleshooting steps provided within the EMOS GoSmart application for WiFi connection.
- Inaccurate Readings:
- Ensure the outdoor sensor is not exposed to direct sunlight, strong winds, or other extreme weather conditions that can skew readings.
- Allow the sensors sufficient time (up to an hour) to stabilize after initial setup or relocation.
- Compare readings with a known accurate thermometer/hygrometer if available.
- App Not Responding: Ensure your smartphone has an active internet connection. Update the EMOS GoSmart app to its latest version. If the issue persists, try reinstalling the app.
