Important Safety Warnings

  • Not Submersible: This aquarium light has a water-resistant aluminum housing but is not submersible. Do not immerse the light fixture in water.
  • Protective Film: A thin protective film is applied to the light board to prevent scratches during transportation. Please remove this film before use to ensure optimal lighting effect. Failure to do so will result in dimmer illumination.
  • Power Source: Use only with the provided universal power adapter (AC 100-240V). Ensure the power outlet matches the specified voltage.
  • Installation: Ensure the clip-on bracket is securely fastened to the aquarium glass.
  • Maintenance: Always unplug the light from the power source before performing any maintenance or cleaning.

Setup Instructions

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
  2. Remove Protective Film: Locate and gently peel off the thin protective film from the LED light board. This film is for transport protection and must be removed for proper light output.
  3. Attach to Aquarium:
    • Position the clip-on bracket onto the edge of your aquarium. Ensure your tank's glass thickness is less than 0.98 inches (2.5 cm) for a secure fit.
    • Tighten the screw on the bracket until the light is firmly attached to the tank. Do not overtighten.

  4. Adjust Light Position: The light features an adjustable bracket allowing 180° vertical and 360° horizontal rotation. Adjust the light to your desired angle and height over the aquarium.
  5. Connect Power: Connect the power adapter to the light and then plug it into a suitable electrical outlet.

Operating Instructions

The fishkeeper LED Aquarium Light offers various modes and settings controlled via the inline controller.

Controller Functions:

  • Power Button (M): Press to cycle through different light modes (White, Blue, Full Spectrum, Off). Long press to enter 24/7 mode.
  • Brightness Buttons (+/-): Adjusts brightness in 10 levels (10% to 100%). Not adjustable in 24/7 mode.
  • Timer Button (Clock Icon): Sets the timer duration for 4H, 8H, or 12H.
  • 24/7 Button: Activates the 24/7 natural lighting cycle.

1. 24/7 Natural Lighting Cycle Mode

This mode simulates a natural 24-hour cycle of sunrise, daylight, sunset, and moonlight. It automatically adjusts color and brightness throughout the day to promote plant growth and fish health. The cycle runs daily from 6:00 AM to 12:00 AM (midnight) with no further setup required after initial time synchronization.

  • Activation: Press the "24/7" button on the controller.
  • Schedule:
    • 6:00 AM - 8:00 AM: Sunrise (gradual increase in light)
    • 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM: Day Light (full brightness)
    • 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM: Sunset (gradual decrease in light)
    • 6:00 PM - 12:00 AM: Moonlight (blue light)
    • 12:00 AM - 6:00 AM: Off
  • Note: Brightness is not adjustable in 24/7 mode.

2. Adjustable Timer & Brightness (DIY Mode)

In DIY mode, you can manually select light color, brightness, and set a timer duration.

  • Color Modes: Press the 'M' (Mode) button to cycle through:
    • White Mode: White/Green LEDs active.
    • Blue Mode: Blue/Red LEDs active.
    • Full Spectrum Mode: All RGBW LEDs active.

  • Brightness Adjustment: Use the '+' and '-' buttons to select from 10 brightness levels (10% to 100%) for the chosen color mode.

  • Timer Setting: Press the 'Timer' button to select a duration of 4 hours, 8 hours, or 12 hours. The light will automatically turn off after the selected duration.

  • Memory Function: The light retains your last selected settings (color mode, brightness, and timer) even after a power interruption. No need to reset after power failure.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your aquarium light.

  • Cleaning: Always unplug the light before cleaning. Wipe the light housing and LED surface with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure no water enters the electrical components.
  • Inspection: Periodically check the power cord and connections for any signs of damage. If any damage is found, discontinue use and contact customer support.
  • Heat Dissipation: The aluminum alloy design provides fast heat dissipation. Ensure the light is not covered or obstructed to allow proper airflow.

Troubleshooting
