3. Product Overview

The Rongta F82 features a sleek, compact design with essential controls and indicators.

4. Setup

4.1. Loading Thermal Paper

  1. Press the two buttons on either side of the printer to open the paper compartment.
  2. If using a thermal paper roll, remove any tape securing the roll.
  3. Place the thermal paper roll into the compartment, ensuring the paper feeds correctly towards the output slot.
  4. Pull a small length of paper out to align with the edge of the roller.
  5. Close the paper compartment securely.
  6. For single thermal sheets, feed the paper through the back of the printer. The printer will automatically grab and feed the paper once aligned.

4.2. App Installation and Bluetooth Connection (for Mobile Devices)

  1. Download the "SoPrint" APP from Google Play Store (for Android) or Apple App Store (for iOS). You can also scan the QR code on the printer's tag or visit rongtayun.com/cp/api/download/SoPrint-Abroad.
  2. Turn on the printer by pressing and holding the power button.
  3. Open the "SoPrint" APP.
  4. Within the app, select the F82 model and establish a Bluetooth connection. Note: Do not pair via your phone's Bluetooth settings directly; connect through the "SoPrint" APP.

4.3. USB Cable Connection (for Laptops/PCs)

  1. Connect the printer to your laptop or computer using the provided USB-C cable.
  2. Download the RONGTA printer driver from the website provided on the printer's tag or in the user guide. (e.g., rongtaglobal.com/f82).
  3. Install the driver on your computer. The printer is compatible with Windows 7-11 and macOS.
  4. Once the driver is installed, you can select the F82 printer from your computer's print settings.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Printing from Mobile App ("SoPrint")

  1. Ensure your printer is connected via Bluetooth to the "SoPrint" app.
  2. From the app's main screen, select the type of content you wish to print (e.g., Print Images, Document Print, Graphic Editor, Scan Print, DIY Print, Print Web).
  3. Select your desired file or content. The app allows for various editing options such as cropping, filters, and collage creation.
  4. Before printing, you can adjust settings like paper type (roll or single sheet), paper width/height, print density (darkness), margins, and number of copies.
  5. Confirm your settings and tap "Print Immediately" to start printing.

5.2. Printing from PC/Laptop

After connecting your printer via USB and installing the necessary drivers, you can print documents directly from your computer's applications. Select the Rongta F82 from your printer options in any program (e.g., Word, PDF viewer) and adjust print settings as needed before sending the print job.

5.3. Cutting Printed Paper

Once printing is complete, gently pull the paper forward. The integrated paper cutting knife allows for a clean tear of the printed document from the roll or sheet.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the printer. Avoid using liquids or abrasive cleaners.
  • Thermal Paper: Always use high-quality thermal paper to ensure optimal print quality and prevent damage to the print head. Do not use normal paper.
  • Storage: Store the printer in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Battery Care: For long-term storage, charge the printer to approximately 50% and recharge every few months to maintain battery health.
