4. Operating Instructions and Adjustments
Your COLAMY office chair offers multiple adjustments for personalized comfort.
- Seat Height Adjustment: Pull the lever located under the right side of the seat upwards to raise or lower the seat. Release the lever at the desired height.
- Tilt Lock and Recline: Pull the same lever outwards to unlock the tilt function, allowing the chair to recline between 100° and 130°. Push the lever inwards to lock the chair in an upright position.
- Tilt Tension Adjustment: Rotate the round knob located under the front-center of the seat to adjust the tension of the recline. Turn clockwise to increase tension (harder to recline) and counter-clockwise to decrease tension (easier to recline).
- 3D Armrest Adjustment: The armrests can be adjusted in three dimensions: height, forward/backward, and pivot. Use the buttons or levers on the armrests to make these adjustments.
- Adjustable Headrest: The headrest can be moved up and down and tilted to support your neck and head.
- Dynamic Lumbar Support: The chair features a dynamic lumbar support system that automatically adjusts to your sitting posture and weight, providing continuous lower back support.
- Retractable Footrest: Pull the footrest out from under the seat when desired, and push it back in when not in use.

Refer to this section for common issues and their solutions.
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Chair does not adjust height | Gas lift cylinder malfunction or lever not engaged. | Ensure the height adjustment lever is fully pulled up. If issue persists, the gas lift may need replacement. |
| Chair wobbles or feels unstable | Loose screws or improper assembly. | Check and tighten all assembly screws, especially those connecting the seat to the mechanism and the backrest. Ensure the gas lift is fully seated in the base. |
| Casters do not roll smoothly | Debris caught in casters. | Remove any hair, dust, or debris from the caster wheels. |
