1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the INKBIRDPLUS PM2.5 Indoor Air Quality Monitor. This portable device is designed to provide accurate and real-time measurements of PM2.5, PM10, temperature, and humidity in your environment. It features a clear VA color screen, sound and light dual alerts, and a power-saving design, making it an essential tool for monitoring air quality in homes, offices, and schools.

2.1 Package Contents

2.2 Device Components

Familiarize yourself with the different parts of your air quality monitor:

  • Display Screen: Shows PM2.5/PM10 values, temperature, humidity, and battery status.
  • Buttons:
    • Top Button (▲): Mute/Unmute sound.
    • Middle Button (●): Power ON/OFF, Confirm setting.
    • Bottom Button (▼): Switch temperature unit (°C/°F).
  • PM2.5/PM10 Indicator Light: A 3-color breathing light (Green, Orange, Red) indicating air quality levels.
  • Lanyard Hole: For attaching a wrist strap or hanging.
  • Sound Alarm: Emits an audible alert when PM2.5/PM10 levels exceed the set threshold.
  • Temperature and Humidity Sensor: Located on the side for accurate environmental readings.
  • Air Vent: Allows air circulation for sensor readings.
  • Magnet: On the back for easy attachment to magnetic surfaces.

3. Setup

3.1 Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge the device using the provided USB-C cable. Connect the cable to the charging port on the monitor and a standard USB power adapter (not included). The battery indicator on the screen will show charging status.

3.2 Powering On/Off

To power on or off the detector, long press the middle (●) button.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Real-time Monitoring

Once powered on, the monitor will immediately begin displaying real-time readings for PM2.5, PM10, temperature, and humidity. The VA color screen provides clear visibility of all data.

4.2 Air Quality Indication (PM2.5/PM10)

The monitor features a 3-color breathing light around the middle button to provide a quick visual indication of PM2.5 air quality:

  • Green Light: Indicates good air quality (0 to 34 µg/m³).
  • Orange Light: Indicates a warning, moderate air quality (35 to 110 µg/m³).
  • Red Light: Indicates danger, poor air quality (above 110 µg/m³).

4.3 Temperature Unit Switch

To switch between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F) for temperature display, long press the bottom (▼) button.

4.4 Mute/Unmute Sound

To turn the sound alarm on or off, long press the top (▲) button.

4.5 Setting PM2.5 Alarm Value

The PM2.5/PM10 alarm threshold can be customized. When the concentration exceeds this threshold, the detector will sound an alarm and the indicator light will flash red.

  1. Double press the middle (●) button to enter the alarm setting mode.
  2. Use the top (▲) or bottom (▼) buttons to adjust the desired alarm number.
  3. Press the middle (●) button to confirm the number and move to the next digit or setting.
  4. Once the setting is complete, press the middle (●) button again to save and return to the main display.

4.6 Power-Saving Features

  • The screen will automatically turn off when no data changes within 5 minutes to conserve power.
  • The device will automatically power off after 25 minutes of inactivity to further save battery life.

5. Maintenance

  • Keep the device clean by wiping it with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Ensure the air vents are clear of dust and debris to maintain accurate readings.
  • Store the monitor in a cool, dry place when not in use.
  • Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, or high humidity.

6. Troubleshooting
