5. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your POXURIO Sump Pump Battery Backup System:

  1. Prepare the Battery: Ensure you have a fully charged 12V deep cycle battery (e.g., marine battery, RV battery). This system does not include a battery.
  2. Connect Battery Cables:
    • Connect the RED battery cable to the POSITIVE (+) terminal of the battery.
    • Connect the other end of the RED battery cable to the POSITIVE (+) terminal on the back of the backup system unit.
    • Connect the BLACK battery cable to the NEGATIVE (-) terminal of the battery.
    • Connect the other end of the BLACK battery cable to the NEGATIVE (-) terminal on the back of the backup system unit.
    • Ensure all connections are tight and secure.
  3. Connect AC Power: Plug the provided AC power cord into the "Grid Input" socket on the front panel of the unit. Then, plug the other end of the AC power cord into a standard 120V AC wall outlet.
  4. Connect Sump Pump(s): Plug your sump pump(s) directly into the "AC Output 120V" sockets on the front panel of the backup system. Ensure the total wattage of connected devices does not exceed 2000W.
  5. Initial Power On: Once all connections are secure, flip the "Power" switch on the front panel to the "ON" position. The LCD display should illuminate.
