7. Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
No display/No powerInput power not connected or incorrect voltage; faulty wiring.Check input power source (6-36V). Verify all wiring connections for correct polarity and secure contact.
Output not turning onOutput disabled; protection triggered (OVP, OCP, etc.).Short press OK/↓ to enable output. Check display for protection indicators (e.g., OVP, OCP) and adjust settings or load accordingly.
Output voltage/current unstableInput power fluctuations; excessive load; poor connections.Ensure stable input power. Reduce load if exceeding specifications. Check wiring for loose connections.
Module gets hot during operationHigh power output; insufficient ventilation.Ensure adequate airflow around the module. Consider connecting an external fan to the fan port for continuous high-power operation (above 60W).
Unexpected current draw on output when source removedInternal design characteristic (as noted in a review). This is a known characteristic (approx. 7mA). Consider adding a switch or disconnecting the load if this is an issue for your application.
Module damaged when charging protected batteriesVoltage spike from battery BMS hitting upper limit. When charging protected batteries, set the voltage limit below the full charge voltage of the battery to prevent voltage spikes.
