3. Setup
3.1. Initial Charging
Before first use, fully charge your JBL Boombox 4. Connect the provided AC power cord to the speaker's AC input port and then to a power outlet. The battery indicator lights will show the charging progress.
3.2. Battery Installation/Replacement
The JBL Boombox 4 features a user-replaceable battery. To install or replace the battery:
- Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the speaker.
- Use an appropriate tool (e.g., Allen key) to unscrew the cover.
- Carefully remove the rubber grommet.
- Insert or replace the JBL 600 battery, ensuring proper alignment.
- Secure the cover and grommet by screwing them back into place.

3.3. Bluetooth Pairing

- Power on the JBL Boombox 4 by pressing the power button.

4.2. Bass Boost Modes
The JBL Boombox 4 offers two distinct Bass Boost settings:
- Deep Bass: Provides a powerful, thumping bass experience. The JBL Horn mark glows orange.
- Punchy Bass: Delivers a tighter, more energetic bass. The JBL Horn mark turns white.
Press the Bass Boost button once to activate Deep Bass. Press it twice to switch to Punchy Bass.

4.3. Auracast™ Multi-Speaker Connection
Auracast™ allows you to connect multiple JBL speakers for a synchronized audio experience:
- Ensure all desired JBL Auracast-enabled speakers are powered on.
- On the primary speaker, press the Auracast™ button.
- On other Auracast-enabled speakers, press their respective Auracast™ buttons to join the group.
- Speakers will automatically connect and play audio in sync. You can stereo pair two Boombox 4 speakers for a wider soundstage.

4.4. Lossless Audio Playback
For high-fidelity audio, connect your compatible device to the JBL Boombox 4 using a USB-C cable. This allows for lossless audio playback, ensuring the highest sound quality from supported apps or services.
5. Maintenance
5.1. Cleaning
To clean your JBL Boombox 4, use a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, as these can damage the speaker's finish and fabric.
5.2. Waterproof and Dustproof Care
