2. Setup and Installation
2.1 Unboxing and Initial Access
Upon receiving your HOLEWOR Biometric Pistol Safe, it will be in a locked state. Use one of the provided mechanical backup keys to open the safe for the first time. The keys are typically found within the packaging.

2.2 Battery Installation
The safe requires 4 AA batteries for operation. Locate the battery compartment, usually behind a removable panel on the control interface. Insert the batteries, ensuring correct polarity. The LCD display will activate upon successful installation.

2.3 Mounting the Safe
The safe can be secured using the provided mounting screws or the steel security cable. For permanent installation, use the screws to mount the safe to a flat surface such as a table, shelf, or inside a drawer. The 40.16-inch steel security cable allows for flexible tethering to a fixed object.

3. Operating Instructions
3.1 Access Methods
The HOLEWOR Biometric Pistol Safe offers three convenient ways to access its contents:
- Biometric Fingerprint: For quick access, the safe features a fingerprint identification system. It can store up to 100 unique fingerprints.
- Passcode Keypad: A 6-digit passcode can be programmed for access. Up to 10 different passcodes can be stored.
- Backup Keys: Two mechanical backup keys are provided for emergency access in case of battery failure or forgotten codes.

3.2 Programming Fingerprints and Passcodes
To program fingerprints or passcodes, refer to the detailed instructions provided in the user manual included with your safe. The process typically involves pressing a programming button (often located inside the safe or under a small cover) and then following the on-screen prompts or indicator lights to register your fingerprint or enter your desired passcode.

3.3 LCD Display Features
The integrated LCD display provides real-time information about the safe's internal environment and status:
- Temperature: Displays the internal temperature in Fahrenheit.
- Humidity: Shows the internal humidity percentage.
- Battery Level: Indicates the remaining battery power.
- Unlock State: Provides visual confirmation of the safe's lock status.
- Time: Displays the current time.

3.4 Emergency USB Power
In the event of battery depletion or missing keys, the safe can be temporarily powered via an external USB-C power supply. Connect a USB-C cable to the designated port on the safe and a power source. This feature allows you to use your fingerprint or passcode to open the safe. Note that this port is for temporary power only and does not charge the internal batteries.

4. Maintenance
4.1 Humidity Control
The LCD display provides real-time humidity readings inside the safe. If humidity levels are consistently high, it is recommended to place desiccant packets (such as silica gel) inside the safe to absorb moisture. This helps protect firearms and other valuables from rust and corrosion.
4.2 Cleaning
Regularly clean the exterior of the safe with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish or electronic components. For the interior, periodically wipe down surfaces and ensure the foam padding is free of debris.
5. Troubleshooting
5.1 Safe Not Opening
- Battery Depletion: If the LCD display is blank or shows low battery, connect the emergency USB-C power cable or replace the AA batteries.
- Incorrect Fingerprint/Passcode: Ensure your finger is clean and properly placed on the sensor. Double-check the passcode entry. Try using a different registered fingerprint or passcode.
- Mechanical Key: Always use the mechanical backup keys as a primary troubleshooting step if electronic access fails.
5.2 LCD Display Issues
- No Display: Check battery installation and level. Connect emergency USB-C power.
- Inaccurate Readings: Ensure the safe is not exposed to extreme temperatures or humidity that could affect sensor accuracy.
5.3 Forgotten Passcode/Fingerprint Not Recognized
If you forget your passcode or your registered fingerprint is no longer recognized, use the mechanical backup keys to open the safe. Once open, you can reset or reprogram new fingerprints and passcodes according to the instructions in Section 3.2.
