4. Setup
- Install Batteries: Open the battery compartment on the back of the main detector unit. Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity. Close the compartment securely.
- Connect Sensor Probe: Plug the sensor probe's 3.5mm jack into the corresponding port on the main detector unit.
- Position the Main Unit: Choose a suitable location for the main detector unit. It can be mounted on a wall using the provided adhesive sticker or screws and wall anchors. Ensure the unit is easily accessible for battery changes and alarm silencing.
- Place the Sensor Probe: Extend the 79-inch detection cable and place the slim probe in the area where water leaks are most likely to occur. The probe should lie flat on the surface, with its metal contacts facing downwards, to detect water effectively. Use the included cable fixers to secure the cable if needed.

Figure 4: Battery installation and low battery alert. The image shows the back of the main detector unit with the battery cover removed, illustrating the placement of two AAA batteries. A graphic indicates a low battery alert with a 'Di' sound.

Figure 5: Probe placement in a tight space. The image demonstrates the slim design of the water leak detector's probe and its long cable, allowing it to be easily positioned in narrow gaps, such as under a washing machine.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Alarm Activation
When the sensor probe detects water, the main unit will emit a loud alarm. The alarm sounds for 4 seconds, then pauses for 4 seconds, and repeats this cycle until the water is no longer detected or the battery is depleted.

Figure 6: Alarm behavior and silencing. The image depicts the water leak detector sounding an alarm upon water detection and the process of temporarily pausing the alarm by pressing its button.
5.2. Silencing the Alarm
To temporarily silence the alarm, press the button on the main unit. The alarm will pause for 10 seconds. If the leak is not addressed within this time, the alarm will resume. This feature allows you to investigate the source of the leak without constant noise.
5.3. Volume Adjustment
The detector features 4 adjustable volume levels, up to 100dB. Use the volume control buttons on the side of the main unit to select your preferred alarm loudness.

Figure 7: Alarm sound coverage in a home. The image displays a house layout with water leak detectors strategically placed in different areas, indicating that the 100dB alarm is audible throughout the entire house.
5.4. Low Battery Alert
When the battery voltage drops below 2.4V, the detector will emit a "Di" sound alert once every minute to indicate low battery. Replace the batteries promptly to ensure continuous protection. If the voltage drops below 1.7V, the unit will power off.

6. Maintenance
- Battery Replacement: When the low battery alert sounds, replace both AAA batteries in the main unit. Always use fresh batteries for optimal performance.
- Sensor Cleaning: Periodically inspect the sensor probe for any dirt, dust, or debris that might interfere with its detection capabilities. Clean the metal contacts with a soft, dry cloth if necessary.
- Regular Testing: It is recommended to test the alarm periodically by placing the sensor probe in a small amount of water to ensure it is functioning correctly.
7. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Alarm does not sound when water is detected. | Dead or low batteries; Sensor contacts not fully immersed; Faulty sensor probe. | Replace batteries. Ensure sensor contacts are fully touching the water. Test with a known working sensor or contact support. |
| Alarm sounds intermittently or falsely. | Sensor contacts are dirty or corroded; High humidity causing condensation; Sensor placed on an uneven surface. | Clean sensor contacts with a dry cloth. Relocate the sensor to a less humid area. Ensure the sensor lies flat on the surface. |
| Low battery alert sounds frequently. | Batteries are nearing end of life; Using non-alkaline batteries. | Replace with fresh, high-quality alkaline AAA batteries. |
| Alarm volume is too low/high. | Volume setting is not adjusted correctly. | Use the volume control buttons on the main unit to adjust to the desired level. |
