1. Introduction

The Elalight DT257W-H Wireless HDMI Display Adapter provides a seamless solution for mirroring content from your devices to a larger screen. This adapter supports 4K decoding and delivers 1080P Full HD output, offering a comfortable viewing experience for various applications. While primarily designed for iOS devices, it offers wide compatibility with Android, Windows, and Mac OS for screen mirroring and extension functions.

Important Note:

  • This adapter does not support certain paid applications that employ HDCP video copyright protection, such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu, Comcast TV, Xfinity, Vudu, Sky Go, and BT Sport.
  • Not recommended for PCs and gaming due to potential compatibility limitations with certain applications.

4. Setup Guide

Follow these steps to set up your Elalight Wireless HDMI Display Adapter:

  1. Connect to Display: Plug the HDMI end of the adapter into an available HDMI port on your TV, monitor, or projector.

5. Operating Instructions

Once the adapter is connected and powered, the display will show instructions for connecting your device. The adapter supports various operating systems:

5.1. iOS Devices (iPhone/iPad)

  1. Ensure your iOS device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the adapter (the adapter creates its own Wi-Fi hotspot, usually named 'Renkchip-XXXX' or 'Mirascreen-XXXX').
  2. On your iOS device, swipe down from the top-right corner (or up from the bottom for older models) to open the Control Center.
  3. Tap on 'Screen Mirroring' (or 'AirPlay Mirroring').
  4. Select the adapter's name (e.g., 'Renkchip-XXXX' or 'Mirascreen-XXXX') from the list of available devices.
  5. If prompted, enter the PIN displayed on your TV screen into your iOS device.

5.2. Android Devices

  1. Ensure your Android device is connected to the adapter's Wi-Fi hotspot.
  2. Open your phone's web browser and type the IP address shown on the display (e.g., 192.168.XXX.XXX) into the address bar to access the adapter's settings.
  3. In the adapter's settings, select 'Wi-Fi AP' > 'Scan' to find your home Wi-Fi network. Enter your Wi-Fi password to connect the adapter to your home network for a more stable connection.
  4. On your Android device, go to 'Settings' and look for 'Smart View', 'Wireless Display', 'Screen Casting', 'Screen Mirroring', or 'Multi-screen' (names vary by device).
  5. Select the adapter's name from the list to begin mirroring.

5.3. Windows / Mac OS Devices

  1. Ensure your laptop is connected to the adapter's Wi-Fi hotspot.
  2. For Windows: Press 'Windows key + P' and select 'Connect to a wireless display'. Choose the adapter's name from the list.
  3. For Mac OS: Click the AirPlay icon in the menu bar and select the adapter's name.

5.4. Mirror Mode and Extension Mode

  • Mirror Mode: Duplicates your device's screen onto the larger display.
  • Extension Mode: Extends your device's desktop, allowing for a multi-tasking experience. (Note: Smartphones do not support extend mode).
  • You can easily switch between landscape and portrait mode by pressing the round click button on the adapter.

  • Supported: YouTube, Twitch, Facebook, Reddit, Safari, Microsoft Office, TikTok, Meta, Dailymotion, Twitter.
  • Not Supported (HDCP Protected Content): Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, Chromecast TV, HBO Go, Vudu, BT Sport, Sky Go, Comcast TV.

6. Maintenance
