Maintenance

Dustbin and Filter

Regularly empty the dustbin after each cleaning cycle. The filter should also be cleaned periodically by tapping it against a trash can to remove debris. Replace the filter every few months or as indicated by the app for optimal performance.

Brushes

The Roomba 105 Combo features multi-surface rubber brushes that are designed to minimize hair tangles, making them easier to clean. Periodically remove the brushes and clear any accumulated hair or debris. The edge-cleaning brush should also be checked and cleaned.

Mop Pad

The microfiber mop pad is washable and reusable. After each mopping session, remove the pad and wash it thoroughly with water. Allow it to air dry completely before reattaching to prevent odors and maintain cleaning effectiveness.

Sensors and Charging Contacts

Wipe the robot's sensors and charging contacts with a clean, dry cloth regularly to ensure proper navigation and charging.

Troubleshooting

Common Issues and Solutions

  • Robot not charging: Ensure the Home Base is plugged in and the robot's charging contacts are clean and properly aligned with the base.
  • Robot getting stuck: Clear obstacles from the cleaning path. The ClearView™ LiDAR navigation helps the robot avoid obstacles, but some small items or loose cords may still cause issues.
  • Poor cleaning performance: Check the dustbin, brushes, and filter for clogs or excessive debris. Ensure the mop pad is clean and wet for mopping.
  • App connectivity issues: Verify your Wi-Fi network is 2.4 GHz and stable. Restart the robot and your router if necessary.
  • Error messages: Refer to the iRobot Home App for specific error codes and troubleshooting steps.

For persistent issues, consult the iRobot Home App's help section or visit the iRobot support website.
