  • Ensure all connections are secure and properly insulated to prevent short circuits.
  • Do not touch the glass of new bulbs with bare hands, as oils can reduce bulb lifespan.
  • Verify proper headlight alignment after installation to avoid blinding other drivers and ensure optimal road illumination.

5. Installation Instructions

Follow these steps for a successful installation. For a visual guide, refer to the installation video below.

5.1. Preparation

  1. Park your vehicle on a level surface and engage the parking brake.
  2. Open the hood of your vehicle.
  3. Disconnect the negative terminal of the vehicle's battery.

5.2. Removing the Old Headlight Assembly

  1. Locate and remove the two push clips securing the trim panel near the headlight. Use a trim tool to gently pry them out.
  2. Carefully separate the trim panel from the bumper using a plastic trim tool to avoid scratching the paint. Set the trim panel aside.
  3. Identify the three mounting bolts for the headlight assembly. One is exposed after removing the trim panel, and the other two are located along the top.
  4. Remove all three mounting bolts using an appropriate socket wrench.
  5. Gently pull the headlight assembly away from the vehicle body.
  6. Disconnect all electrical connectors from the bulbs (turn signal, low beam, high beam). Twist and pull to remove the bulbs from their sockets. Inspect bulbs for replacement if necessary.
  7. Completely remove the old headlight assembly.

5.3. Installing the New Headlight Assembly

  1. Insert your existing bulbs into the new headlight assembly. Ensure they are securely twisted and locked into place. Avoid touching the glass of the bulbs.
  2. Connect all electrical wiring to the corresponding bulbs on the new assembly.
  3. Carefully slide the new headlight assembly into its position, ensuring the mounting tabs align with the vehicle's frame. You may need to lift slightly on the top ear of the assembly to slide it over the frame.
  4. Secure the headlight assembly by re-installing the three mounting bolts. The fine-thread bolt goes into the lower position, and the two coarse-thread bolts go into the top positions. Tighten them securely.
  5. Re-attach the trim panel by aligning its two pegs with the corresponding holes and pushing it firmly until it clicks into place.
  6. Re-insert the two push clips to secure the trim panel.

5.4. Post-Installation Check

  1. Reconnect the negative terminal of the vehicle's battery.
  2. Turn on your vehicle's headlights and test all functions: low beam, high beam, and turn signals.
  3. Adjust the headlight beam as needed using the adjusters located on the back of the assembly (refer to Section 6.1 for details).

6. Operation

6.1. Headlight Adjustment

The headlight assembly features adjusters on the back to fine-tune the beam direction. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to turn the adjusters. One adjuster controls vertical alignment, and another controls horizontal alignment. Adjust the beam to ensure proper road illumination without blinding oncoming traffic.

6.2. Bulb Types

This headlight assembly uses the following bulb types (bulbs not included):

  • Low Beam: H11
  • High Beam: 9005
  • Turn Signal: 4157A

7. Maintenance

7.1. Cleaning

Regularly clean the exterior of the headlight lenses with a soft cloth and mild automotive cleaning solution. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that could damage the UV coating.

7.2. Bulb Replacement

If a bulb burns out, replace it with the correct type (H11 for low beam, 9005 for high beam, 4157A for turn signal). Follow the reverse of the installation steps for bulb removal and insertion. Always avoid touching the glass of new bulbs with bare hands.

8. Troubleshooting

8.1. Condensation Inside Headlight

Minor condensation inside the headlight is normal and usually dissipates on its own. This is often due to temperature changes and is not a defect. The headlight assembly is designed with one-way vents to manage internal moisture.
