Setup and Installation
Follow these steps to properly set up and install your components into the Vibox VTX-5 PC case.
1. Preparing the Case
- Unpack the Case: Carefully remove the VTX-5 case from its packaging. Inspect for any shipping damage.
- Remove Side Panels: Locate the thumbscrews on the rear of the case for the tempered glass side panel. Unscrew them and gently slide the panel off. Repeat for the other side panel if applicable.
- Access Front Panel: The front tempered glass panel is typically secured with clips or screws. Refer to the specific case diagram for removal if necessary for front fan/radiator installation.
2. Motherboard Installation
- Install Standoffs: Ensure the correct motherboard standoffs are installed in the motherboard tray for your ATX motherboard. The VTX-5 supports ATX motherboards.
- Install I/O Shield: Snap your motherboard's I/O shield into the rear I/O cutout of the case.
- Mount Motherboard: Carefully place your motherboard onto the standoffs, aligning the screw holes. Secure it with the provided screws.
3. Storage Device Installation
The VTX-5 supports two 3.5" HDDs or two 2.5" SSDs.
- Locate the drive bays/mounts, typically behind the motherboard tray or in a dedicated HDD cage.
- Secure your 3.5" HDDs or 2.5" SSDs using the provided screws or tool-less mechanisms.
4. Power Supply Installation
- Slide your ATX power supply unit (PSU) into its designated compartment at the bottom rear of the case.
- Secure the PSU with screws from the rear of the case.
5. Graphics Card and Expansion Cards
- Remove the necessary PCIe slot covers from the rear of the case.
- Insert your graphics card or other expansion cards into the appropriate PCIe slots on your motherboard and secure them with screws.
6. Cable Management
The VTX-5 offers ample space for cable management. Route all power and data cables through the cutouts in the motherboard tray to the rear of the case. Use zip ties or Velcro straps to bundle and secure cables for a clean build and improved airflow.
7. Connecting Front I/O
Connect the front panel cables (USB, audio, power switch, reset switch, LED indicators) to the corresponding headers on your motherboard. Refer to your motherboard manual for header locations.

Operating the VTX-5 Case
Once all components are installed and connected, you can power on your system.
Power On/Off
- Press the power button located on the front I/O panel to turn on your PC.
- To turn off, use the operating system's shutdown function or press and hold the power button for a few seconds for a forced shutdown (not recommended for regular use).
RGB Lighting Control
The VTX-5 comes with 7 pre-installed Infinity RGB fans. The RGB lighting can typically be controlled via:
- Motherboard Software: If the fans are connected to an ARGB header on your motherboard, you can use your motherboard's RGB control software (e.g., ASUS Aura Sync, MSI Mystic Light, Gigabyte RGB Fusion, ASRock Polychrome Sync) to customize lighting effects and colors.
- Dedicated Controller: Some cases or fan kits include a dedicated RGB controller. Check if your VTX-5 package included one and refer to its specific instructions for operation.

Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your PC components.
- Dust Cleaning: Periodically clean dust filters (if present) and the interior of the case using compressed air or a soft brush. Dust accumulation can hinder airflow and lead to overheating.
- Fan Cleaning: Gently clean the fan blades of the pre-installed RGB fans to ensure efficient cooling.
- Tempered Glass Care: Clean tempered glass panels with a microfiber cloth and a non-abrasive glass cleaner. Avoid harsh chemicals that could damage the glass or coatings.
- Cable Management Check: Occasionally check cable routing to ensure no cables are obstructing airflow or fan operation.
Troubleshooting
Here are some common issues and their potential solutions:
- PC Not Powering On:
- Ensure the power supply switch is in the 'ON' position.
- Check all power cables (24-pin ATX, 8-pin CPU, GPU power) are securely connected.
- Verify front panel power switch cable is correctly connected to the motherboard header.
- Fans Not Spinning / RGB Not Lighting Up:
- Check if fan power cables are properly connected to the motherboard fan headers or a fan controller.
- Ensure RGB cables are connected to the correct ARGB/RGB headers on the motherboard or controller.
- Verify that RGB software or controller settings are configured correctly.
- Poor Airflow / High Temperatures:
- Clean dust filters and fans.
- Ensure fans are oriented correctly for optimal airflow (intake vs. exhaust).
- Check for any obstructions to airflow inside the case.
- Front USB Ports Not Working:
- Ensure the front panel USB cables are securely connected to the corresponding USB headers on your motherboard.
