3.1. Battery Charging

The Lumex LF1050 operates on a rechargeable 24V battery. For optimal performance and battery life, ensure the battery is fully charged before initial use and regularly thereafter.

3.2. Patient Transfer Procedure

Always ensure the patient is comfortable and secure in a compatible sling (sold separately) before initiating any transfer. The 6-point cradle is designed to accommodate various sling types.

  1. Positioning the Lift: Roll the lift to the patient, ensuring the base legs can be adjusted to fit around the bed, chair, or commode. The low 4.7-inch floor clearance allows it to glide under most furniture.
  2. Attaching the Sling: Carefully position the sling under the patient according to the sling manufacturer's instructions. Attach the sling loops to the hooks on the 6-point cradle. Double-check all connections for security.
  3. Lifting the Patient: Using the hand control, slowly raise the boom to lift the patient clear of the surface. Monitor the patient for comfort and adjust as needed.
  4. Maneuvering: Once the patient is clear, use the smooth-rolling casters to carefully move the lift to the destination. Ensure the path is clear of obstacles.
  5. Lowering the Patient: Position the patient over the target surface (e.g., wheelchair, bed). Using the hand control, slowly lower the patient onto the surface.
  6. Detaching the Sling: Once the patient is safely seated, detach the sling from the cradle hooks.
