4. Setup Instructions

Follow these steps to set up your RedMagic 6 Air cooler:

  1. Prepare Your Device: Ensure the back surface of your phone or tablet is clean and dry.
  2. Attachment Method:
    • Magnetic Attachment: For devices with built-in magnetic capabilities (e.g., iPhone 11 series and above) or MagSafe-compatible cases, simply align the cooler with the back of your device until it snaps into place magnetically.
    • Magnetic Sticker (for non-magnetic devices): For devices without magnetic capabilities, attach the provided magnetic pad to the desired cooling area on the back of your device. Ensure it is centered for optimal contact. Then, attach the cooler magnetically to this pad.
    • Clip Attachment: For devices that are not compatible with magnetic attachment or for a more secure grip, attach the two removable clips to the cooler. Then, carefully expand the clips and secure them onto the sides of your device, ensuring the cooler's cooling plate makes firm contact with the device's back.
  3. Connect Power: Connect the provided USB-C cable to the cooler's USB-C port and then to a power source (e.g., a USB wall adapter, power bank, or a device with sufficient USB power output). The cooler requires a 15W power input for optimal performance.

5. Operating Instructions

The RedMagic 6 Air cooler features a simple mechanical button for control:

  1. Power On/Off: Locate the ON/OFF switch on the side of the cooler. Slide it to the 'ON' position to power on the device. Slide it to 'OFF' to power off.
  2. Adjust Cooling Modes: Once powered on, press the mechanical button to cycle through the cooling modes:
    • First Press: Activates High Power Mode for powerful, forced cooling.
    • Second Press: Activates Silent Mode for quieter operation.
    • Third Press: Turns off the cooling fan.
  3. RGB Lighting: The cooler features integrated RGB neon lights that activate automatically when the device is powered on, providing a visual effect. The lighting effects are pre-programmed and cannot be manually adjusted.

6. Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and performance of your cooler:

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior of the cooler. For the cooling plate, use the provided wet wipe or a slightly damp cloth, then dry thoroughly. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the device in water.
  • Fan Area: Periodically check the fan intake and exhaust vents for dust accumulation. Use a soft brush or compressed air to gently clear any obstructions.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the cooler in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your RedMagic 6 Air cooler, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Cooler not turning on or not cooling effectively.Insufficient power supply; loose cable connection; device not powered on.Ensure the USB-C cable is securely connected to both the cooler and a power source. Use a power adapter that provides at least 15W output. Verify the ON/OFF switch is in the 'ON' position.
Cooler not attaching securely to the device.Incorrect attachment method; magnetic pad not applied correctly; device case interfering. For magnetic attachment, ensure your device or case is MagSafe compatible or that the magnetic pad is properly affixed. If using clips, ensure they are fully extended and gripping the device firmly. Remove thick cases if they prevent proper contact.
Excessive noise from the fan.Fan operating in High Power Mode; dust obstruction.Switch to Silent Mode using the mechanical button. Check for and clear any dust or debris from the fan vents.
Condensation forming on the cooling plate.Normal operation in humid environments due to low temperature. This is normal. Wipe away any condensation with a soft cloth to prevent moisture buildup on your device.
