This manual provides essential instructions for the safe and effective operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the Coxo C-Puma Master Dental Multi-use Motor. This device integrates both electric motor and endo motor functions, designed for various dental procedures.

The Coxo C-Puma Master is a versatile dental multi-use motor system designed for precision and efficiency in various dental procedures. It integrates both electric motor and endo motor functionalities within a single unit, featuring a 5.0-inch LCD touch screen for intuitive control.

5. Setup

5.1 Initial Connection

  1. Unpack all components and verify against the package contents list.
  2. Place the main unit on a stable, flat surface.
  3. Connect the electric motor handpiece cable to the designated port on the main unit.
  4. Attach the desired contra angle (1:5 or 6:1) to the electric motor handpiece. Ensure it clicks securely into place.
  5. Connect the power adapter to the main unit and then to a suitable AC100-240V, 50/60Hz power outlet.
  6. Press the power button to turn on the device. The LCD screen will illuminate.

5.2 Calibration

Before first use or after changing contra angles, it is recommended to perform a calibration. Follow the on-screen prompts in the 'Setup' menu to connect the motor, contra angle, and file for calibration.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Electric Motor Mode

This mode is suitable for general dental procedures such as teeth preparation, restoration, and polishing. It adapts with contra angle and straight head in accordance with ISO3964 standards.

  1. From the main menu, select the Electric Motor mode.
  2. Choose one of the 7 built-in program memories or adjust parameters manually. Each program allows independent adjustment of speed, steering, and other settings.
  3. The speed can be adjusted up to 40,000 rpm. The maximum torque is 3.0 N-cm.
  4. Adjust LED lighting intensity and delay time as needed.
  5. Ensure internal water spray is functioning for cooling during operation. The handle is air-cooled to maintain a comfortable temperature.

6.2 Endo Motor Mode

This mode is specifically designed for root canal preparation, utilizing the 6:1 contra angle with a one-piece Mini head.

  1. From the main menu, select the Endo Motor mode.
  2. Select from the two built-in mainstream file systems. No complex setup is required; simply choose and use.
  3. Adjust the speed between 250-1200 RPM and torque between 0.6-5.1 N-cm as per the file system and clinical requirements.
  4. Utilize the auto-reverse function for safety during root canal procedures. A manual real-time reverse function is also available.
