1. Introduction

2. What's in the Box

3. Setup

3.1 Assembling the Stand

  1. Place the monitor panel face down on a soft, clean cloth to prevent scratches.
  2. Attach the stand riser to the base and secure it with the captive screw.
  3. Align the assembled stand with the mounting slots on the back of the monitor panel.
  4. Gently push the stand until it clicks into place. Ensure it is securely fastened.

3.2 Connecting Cables

Connect the necessary cables to the monitor and your computer or other devices. Refer to the image below for port locations.

  • Power Cable: Connect one end of the power cable to the monitor's power port and the other end to a power outlet.
  • Video Cable: Connect the HDMI cable (included) or a DisplayPort cable (not included) from your computer's graphics card to the corresponding port on the monitor. The monitor features 2x HDMI 2.1 and 1x DisplayPort 1.4.
  • USB Cables: Connect the USB-B upstream cable from your computer to the monitor's USB-B upstream port to enable the monitor's USB-A downstream ports (2x USB-A).

3.3 Initial Power-On

  1. Ensure all cables are securely connected.
  2. Press the power button on the monitor. The power button is typically located on the bottom right side or rear of the monitor.
  3. Turn on your computer or connected device. The monitor should automatically detect the input signal.

4. Operating the Monitor

4.1 On-Screen Display (OSD) Menu

The monitor's settings are adjusted using the OSD menu, navigated via a joystick control located on the rear of the monitor. Push the joystick in to activate the OSD menu, then move it up, down, left, or right to navigate options.

4.2 Basic Settings

  • Brightness/Contrast: Adjust these settings to optimize visual comfort and image clarity.
  • Input Source: Manually select between HDMI 1, HDMI 2, or DisplayPort inputs if the monitor does not auto-detect.
  • Volume: Adjust the volume for any connected audio devices or internal speakers (if applicable).

4.3 Advanced Settings

  • Refresh Rate: Ensure your operating system and graphics card settings are configured to utilize the monitor's maximum 180Hz refresh rate.
  • Adaptive Sync: Enable AMD FreeSync or VESA AdaptiveSync in the OSD menu and your graphics card control panel for tear-free gaming.
  • HDR: Activate HDR 400 mode for enhanced contrast and color depth.
  • Color Settings: Fine-tune color temperature, gamma, and DCI-P3 color space settings.
  • ComfortView Plus: This feature reduces blue light emissions to minimize eye strain during extended use. It is hardware-based and always active.
  • Picture-by-Picture (PbP) / Picture-in-Picture (PiP): These modes allow displaying content from multiple input sources simultaneously. Refer to the OSD menu for configuration options.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning the Monitor

  • Always unplug the monitor from the power outlet before cleaning.
  • Use a soft, lint-free cloth lightly dampened with water or a non-abrasive screen cleaner.
  • Do not spray cleaner directly onto the screen.
  • Avoid using benzene, thinner, ammonia-based cleaners, or abrasive materials, as these can damage the screen surface.
