4. Setup
4.1 Unboxing and Handle Assembly
The mower comes fully assembled in the box. No tools are required for initial setup. Simply unfold the handle and tighten the knobs to secure it in the operating position.
4.2 Adding Engine Oil
Locate the oil fill cap on the engine. Carefully add the provided engine oil (or recommended 10W30 oil) to the engine. Do not overfill. Check the oil level using the dipstick.
4.3 Attaching the Grass Bag
To attach the grass collection bag, lift the rear discharge door and slide the bag onto the hooks. Ensure it is securely in place. For mulching, remove the bag and close the rear discharge door.
4.4 Adjusting Cutting Height
The mower features a 6-position single-level height adjustment. Locate the adjustment lever on the side of the mower. Move the lever to select your desired cutting height. Adjust both the front and rear axles for an even cut.

4.5 Side Discharge Setup
If you prefer side discharge, lift the side discharge door and insert the side discharge chute. Ensure it snaps securely into place.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Starting the Engine
- Ensure the fuel tank is filled with fresh gasoline.
- Press the primer bulb (if equipped) several times until fuel is visible.
- Hold the operator presence control bar against the handle.
- Pull the recoil starter cord firmly until the engine starts. The auto choke will assist with starting.
5.2 Engaging Self-Propel
To engage the self-propel feature, hold the drive control bar against the handle. The mower will begin to move forward. Release the bar to disengage the drive.

- Avoid cutting more than one-third of the grass blade length at a time.
