Maintenance

Battery Life

Both the Blink Video Doorbell and Outdoor 4 camera offer up to two years of battery life under default settings. Actual battery life may vary based on device settings, usage frequency, and environmental factors. High activity levels or extended recording durations will consume battery power more quickly.

Weather Resistance

The Blink Outdoor 4 camera is designed to withstand various weather conditions, operating in temperatures ranging from -4°F to 113°F (-20°C to 45°C). The Blink Video Doorbell operates from -5°F to 113°F (-20°C to 45°C).

Troubleshooting

Connectivity Issues / Lag

If you experience lag in live view or delayed alerts, ensure your Sync Module Core is placed within optimal range of your Wi-Fi router and your Blink devices. A strong, stable 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi connection is crucial for optimal performance. Obstructions or distance can impact signal strength. Consider repositioning the Sync Module Core or your Wi-Fi router if issues persist.

Battery Depletion

If batteries deplete faster than expected, review your device settings in the Blink app. Frequent motion detection, long recording clips, and high sensitivity settings can increase battery consumption. Adjust these settings to optimize battery life.
