When the battery end indicator appears on the display for the outdoor sensor, replace the 2x AA batteries. For the main unit's backup power, replace the 4x AA batteries when needed. Always use fresh batteries of the same type.
8. Troubleshooting
8.1 No Outdoor Sensor Data
- Ensure the outdoor sensor batteries are correctly installed and not depleted.
- Check that the outdoor sensor is within the effective transmission range (typically up to 100 meters in open air) and free from major obstructions.
- Try re-pairing the sensor by removing and reinserting its batteries, then restarting the main unit if necessary.
8.2 WiFi Connection Issues
- Ensure your WiFi network is 2.4 GHz. The station may not support 5 GHz networks.
- Verify your WiFi password is correct.
- Move the weather station closer to your WiFi router.
- Restart your router and the weather station.
- Check the DirektWetter app for specific connection troubleshooting steps.
8.3 Inaccurate Temperature Readings
- Outdoor Sensor: Ensure the sensor is not in direct sunlight or near heat sources (e.g., walls that absorb heat, vents). It should be in a shaded, well-ventilated location.
- Indoor Unit: Avoid placing the main unit near windows, heating/cooling vents, or electronic devices that generate heat.
8.4 Display Readability Issues
- The display has optimal viewing angles. Adjust the station's position or your viewing angle for best clarity.
- Check the display brightness settings, usually adjustable via buttons on the side of the unit.
