Introduction
The DURFICST WM700B is a professional pinless moisture meter designed for accurate and non-destructive measurement of moisture content in various materials. Featuring a color LCD and an audible alarm, this device is suitable for wood, building materials such as walls, plaster, and masonry. Its high-frequency wave technology allows for a measurement depth of 5-40 mm without damaging the surface of the object. The ergonomic design ensures comfortable handling and durability.

Setup
1. Battery Installation
The DURFICST WM700B requires 3 AAA alkaline batteries. To install:
- Locate the battery compartment on the back of the device.
- Use a screwdriver to open the battery cover.
- Insert 3 AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Replace the battery cover and secure it with the screw.

2. Initial Calibration
For accurate measurements, the device should be calibrated before use. The WM700B features automatic calibration.
- Press the power button to turn on the device.
- Hold the device in the air, away from any materials.
- Press the 'MEAS' button. The device will display 'CAL' and automatically calibrate within 3 seconds.

Operating Instructions
1. Taking a Measurement
The WM700B uses a non-destructive method to measure moisture content.
- Ensure the device is calibrated (see Setup section).
- Place the spherical sensor firmly against the surface of the material you wish to measure.
- The moisture reading will be displayed on the color LCD screen. The device can measure moisture up to a depth of 40 mm.
- Observe the three-color analog bar for a quick visual indication of moisture levels (Dry, Risk, Wet).

2. Audible Alarm
The device features an audible alarm that can be manually set to alert you when moisture levels exceed a predefined threshold.
- Press the 'SET' button to enter the alarm setting mode.
- Use the up/down arrow buttons to adjust the alarm threshold value.
- Press 'SET' again to confirm and exit.
3. Data Hold Function
To freeze the current measurement on the screen, press the 'HOLD' button (often integrated with 'SET' or 'MEAS' depending on the model's specific button layout, refer to Figure 2 for button identification). Press it again to release the hold.
4. MAX/MIN Value Display
The color LCD can simultaneously display the maximum (MAX) and minimum (MIN) moisture values recorded during a measurement session, providing a comprehensive overview of moisture variations.

5. Application Examples
The DURFICST WM700B is versatile and can be used on various materials:
- Wood: Ideal for checking moisture content in lumber, flooring, and furniture.
- Walls: Useful for detecting moisture in plaster, drywall, and masonry to identify leaks or dampness.
- Construction Materials: Suitable for slate, tiles, cardboard, gypsum, concrete, and mortar.
Note: This device is not designed to measure metal.

- Cleaning: Wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth after each use. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: Store the device in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. If storing for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage.
- Handling: The device is designed to be durable, but avoid dropping it or subjecting it to strong impacts.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your DURFICST WM700B, consider the following:
- No Power: Check if the batteries are correctly installed and have sufficient charge. Replace batteries if necessary.
- Inaccurate Readings: Ensure the device is properly calibrated before each use. Make sure the spherical sensor is in full contact with the material surface. Avoid holding the bottom part of the instrument during measurement, as moisture from your hand may affect results.
- No Audible Alarm: Verify that the alarm threshold is set correctly and that the volume is not muted.
- Display Issues: If the screen is blank or flickering, try replacing the batteries. If the problem persists, contact customer support.
