3. Setup

3.1. Inserting the Battery

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the bottom of the camera.
  2. Slide the battery compartment cover open.
  3. Insert a fully charged 1350mAh battery, ensuring the contacts align correctly.
  4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

3.2. Inserting the Micro-SD Card

  1. Open the side port cover on the camera.
  2. Insert the 64GB Micro-SD card (Class 10 or higher recommended) into the designated slot with the gold contacts facing the back of the camera.
  3. Gently push until it clicks into place.
  4. Close the side port cover.

3.3. Attaching the Waterproof Case

  1. Ensure the camera is clean and dry before placing it into the waterproof case.
  2. Open the latch on the top of the waterproof case.
  3. Carefully insert the camera into the case.
  4. Close the latch firmly to ensure a watertight seal.

3.4. Mounting Options

The M80PRO comes with various mounts for different activities:

  • Bicycle Bracket: Attach to handlebars for cycling footage.
  • Helmet Mount: Use 3M adhesives to secure the camera to a helmet for POV shots.
  • Adapter Mounts: Utilize these for compatibility with other accessories.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Power On/Off

  • To power on, press and hold the Power/Mode button for 3 seconds.
  • To power off, press and hold the Power/Mode button for 3 seconds until the screen turns off.

4.2. Mode Selection

Press the Power/Mode button repeatedly to cycle through different modes: Video Recording, Photo Mode, Playback, and Settings.

4.3. Recording and Capturing

  • In Video Recording mode, press the Shutter/OK button to start recording. Press again to stop.
  • In Photo Mode, press the Shutter/OK button to take a picture.

4.4. Zoom Function

The camera features an 8x zoom. Use the Up/Down buttons (if available, or through screen interface) to adjust the zoom level during recording or in photo mode.

  1. Download the "Apex DV" app from your smartphone's app store (Android/iOS).
  2. Turn on Wi-Fi on your camera via the settings menu.
  3. Connect your smartphone to the camera's Wi-Fi network (SSID and password will be displayed on the camera screen).
  4. Open the Apex DV app to control the camera, view live footage, and transfer files.

5. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, lint-free cloth to clean the camera lens and screen. For the waterproof case, rinse with fresh water after saltwater use and allow to air dry.
