4. Setup Instructions

4.1 Before You Begin

Ensure your smartphone is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. 5GHz Wi-Fi is not supported.
Download the Tuya Smart or Smartlife app from your device's app store (iOS or Android).
Have your Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password ready.
Place the gateway within range of your Wi-Fi router and your Bluetooth Mesh devices.

4.2 Connecting the Gateway

Power On: Connect the provided USB power cable to the gateway and a suitable USB power adapter (not included). The gateway will power on.
App Installation: If you haven't already, install and open the Tuya Smart or Smartlife app on your smartphone. Register or log in to your account.
Add Device: In the app, tap the "Add Device" or "+" icon.
Select Device Type: Choose "Gateway" or "Other" and then select "Wireless Gateway (Bluetooth)".
Network Configuration: Follow the on-screen instructions in the app.
- Confirm your phone is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network.
- Enter your Wi-Fi password when prompted.
- The app will guide you through the pairing process. The gateway's indicator light may flash during pairing.
Completion: Once successfully added, you can rename the gateway and assign it to a room.

4.3 Adding Bluetooth Mesh Sub-Devices

After the gateway is connected, you can add your Bluetooth Mesh sub-devices.

Ensure your Bluetooth Mesh sub-device is in pairing mode (refer to the sub-device's manual for specific instructions).
In the Tuya Smart/Smartlife app, navigate to your newly added gateway.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Using the Tuya Smart/Smartlife App

The app is the primary interface for controlling your Bluetooth Mesh devices connected via the gateway.

Device Control: Tap on a connected sub-device in the app to access its specific controls (e.g., turn on/off lights, adjust curtain percentage).
Scene Creation: Create custom scenes to automate multiple devices with a single tap or based on conditions (e.g., "Good Morning" scene turns on lights and opens curtains).
Automation: Set up automations based on time, weather, or other device states.
Group Control: Group multiple Bluetooth Mesh devices for simultaneous control.
Remote Access: Control your devices from anywhere with an internet connection.

5.2 Voice Control Integration

To use voice commands, link your Tuya Smart/Smartlife account with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant.

For Amazon Alexa:
1. Open the Alexa app.
2. Go to "Skills & Games" and search for "Tuya Smart" or "Smartlife".
3. Enable the skill and link your Tuya/Smartlife account.
4. Discover devices.
5. You can now use commands like: "Alexa, turn on the living room light" or "Alexa, open the curtains to 30 percent."
For Google Assistant:
1. Open the Google Home app.
2. Tap "Add" > "Set up device" > "Works with Google".
3. Search for "Tuya Smart" or "Smartlife".
4. Link your Tuya/Smartlife account.
5. You can now use commands like: "Hey Google, turn off the bedroom fan" or "Hey Google, close the blinds."

6. Troubleshooting

Problem	Possible Cause	Solution
Gateway fails to connect to Wi-Fi.	Incorrect Wi-Fi password, 5GHz Wi-Fi network, gateway too far from router, network congestion.	Ensure you are connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. Verify the Wi-Fi password. Move the gateway closer to the Wi-Fi router. Restart your router and try again.

Remote control not functioning.	Gateway offline, no internet connection on phone.	Check if the gateway is connected to Wi-Fi (indicator light status). Ensure your smartphone has an active internet connection. Restart the gateway by unplugging and replugging the power cable.

7. Maintenance

To ensure optimal performance and longevity of your Jinvocloud Smart Bluetooth SIG Mesh Wireless Hub Gateway, follow these maintenance guidelines:

Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the device. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosols.
Placement: Place the gateway in a well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and moisture. Avoid placing it near large metal objects that could interfere with wireless signals.
Firmware Updates: Regularly check the Tuya Smart/Smartlife app for available firmware updates for the gateway. Updates can improve performance, add new features, and enhance security.
