2. Safety Information
Please read all safety instructions carefully before installation and operation to prevent injury or property damage.
- Electrical Safety: The unit requires a 110V/120V AC voltage supply. A dedicated 15 amp circuit breaker is recommended. Ensure proper grounding. The product features a UL-certified plug for electrical safety.
- Water Pressure and Temperature: The integrated Temperature and Pressure (T&P) valve protects the water heater by automatically releasing pressure if internal temperature or pressure becomes excessively high. Do not obstruct or remove this valve. The maximum operating pressure is 108 PSI.
- Overheat Protection: The water heater includes overheat protection and flame-retardant properties for enhanced safety.
- Water Filling: Always ensure the tank is completely filled with water before plugging in the unit for the first time to prevent damage to the heating element.
- Installation: Installation should be performed by a qualified professional if you are unsure about plumbing or electrical connections.

5. Installation
The KENUOS Mini Tank Water Heater can be installed under a sink, on a wall, or on the floor. Ensure the installation area is adequately sized (recommended 17"x17"x16") and has sufficient drainage.
5.1 Mounting Options
- Wall-Mounted: Use the provided mounting kit to securely attach the unit to a sturdy wall surface.
- Floor-Mounted: Place the unit on a stable, level surface.
5.2 Plumbing Connections
- Identify the cold water inlet (blue) and hot water outlet (red) on the top of the unit.
- Install the Temperature and Pressure (T&P) valve into the designated port. Ensure it is properly sealed.
- Connect the cold water supply line to the cold water inlet using 1/2" NPT fittings.
- Connect the hot water outlet to your fixture's hot water line. The 3-way fitting valve can be used to divert water to two sinks if needed.
- Once all plumbing connections are secure, open the hot water faucet at your fixture to allow air to escape and the tank to fill completely with water. Do not proceed to electrical connection until water flows freely from the hot water faucet.
5.3 Electrical Connection
- Ensure the water heater is completely filled with water before connecting to power.
- Plug the UL-certified power cord into a grounded 110V/120V AC outlet. A dedicated 15 amp circuit is recommended.

6. Operation
6.1 Power On/Off
Once properly installed and filled with water, plug in the unit. The LED display will illuminate, showing the current water temperature.
6.2 Temperature Adjustment
Use the control knob on the front panel to adjust the desired water temperature. The temperature range is from 86°F to 149°F (30°C to 65°C). Turn the knob towards 'HIGH' for hotter water and 'LOW' for cooler water.

6.3 Heating and Insulation
The 1500W heating element provides rapid heating, typically reaching desired temperatures within 4 to 6 minutes. An intelligent temperature control chip automatically maintains the set temperature by entering a heat preservation mode, aided by non-toxic flame-retardant polyurethane foam insulation.

7. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your water heater.
- Periodic Inspection: Regularly check for any leaks around connections or the T&P valve. Address any leaks promptly.
- T&P Valve Test: Test the T&P valve annually by lifting the lever. Water should discharge from the drain pipe. If no water discharges, or if the valve does not reset, replace it immediately.
- Cleaning: Clean the exterior of the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Draining (if necessary): If the unit will be unused for an extended period in an area subject to freezing temperatures, it should be drained. Disconnect power, close the cold water supply, and open a hot water faucet to relieve pressure. Then, open the drain valve (if present) or disconnect a cold water line to drain the tank.
8. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your water heater, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- No Hot Water:
- Check if the unit is plugged in and receiving power.
- Verify the circuit breaker has not tripped.
- Ensure the tank is full of water.
- Confirm the temperature setting is not on 'OFF' or too low. - Water Not Hot Enough:
- Adjust the temperature knob to a higher setting.
- Allow sufficient time for the water to heat up (4-6 minutes).
- Check if the cold water inlet valve is fully open. - Leaking:
- Inspect all plumbing connections for tightness. Tighten if necessary.
- Check the T&P valve for proper installation and function. If it is continuously dripping, it may need replacement or the water pressure is too high. - Unusual Noises:
- Minor popping or hissing sounds are normal during heating due to water expansion. Loud or persistent noises may indicate sediment buildup, which may require professional servicing.
If the problem persists after attempting these solutions, please contact customer support.
